After trying several other local and national lawn care services over the years, I decided to try Land Art. My lawn was extremely damaged from the drought last year. I have three acres. I thought it would be impossible to regain the nice lawn again that I had for over 30 years. To my surprise, Land Art has greatly improved my lawn, and it is now a nice, deep green and thick. Although I have a few bare spots still showing, Marty was out today and provided a plan to get these areas straightened out in the next 10 days. You could not get a more personalized service from a lawn company. Thanks, Marty and crew. I look forward to a long and lasting relationship. Please keep up the great work.

I switched to Landart a year and a half ago trying to save money. They said they put down crabgrass prevention in the spring and later grub control. I have more crabgrass than ever and the grubs have a big spot in my yard all tore up and the deer are tearing up the lawn looking for grubs. Switching back to True green to get it back in shape.

I like them very much. They come around and appear like magic. The Land Art guys are here.They come out and give you the first fertilize that makes your grass grow like crazy. Son of gun. It looks nice. They are great guys, they really are. If you have a question, like something eating your yard, they will give you the opinion. We tried to do it our self, put the grub killer down. By the time you by the bag and the spreader, they are much cheaper.

My experience was okay. I have been in their customer list for the past three years. I pay an annual fee. I like their convenience. I have had no issues with them. Actually, I have no contact with them. They just come out and do the job. They have us on a schedule. We do not call them at all.

They drive a wide tire vehicle that dispenses the treatment chemicals.  I didn't like the Tracks that the tires made in our yard. We prepaid the fee for their service before the treatment season started, so I can only give you the total for 5 treatments:  approx.    $281.00.

Land Art services are excellent normally. Responsiviness and customer service greatly lacks. That's something that is very easily fixed and hopefully with some frank postings they will improve. As of this writing they are working very hard to correct their issues over the past 3 months that I have experienced. I truely would love to continue to work with this company as the first year of services was short of a miracle on what they did for my 3 acre lawn. I remain optimistic and can only hope we both get on the same page with a good working relationship with my lawn. Thanks Marty for finally addressing my concerns. I truely wish it would not have come to going through other venues of communication to get someones' attention.

My husband died two years ago. He had contracted with Land-Art, but I thought I would save some money by not continuing their services. My lawn looked great, after all. That being said, my lawn looked great because my husband had contracted with Land-Art.
After going it alone with limited knowledge and zero success, I checked Angie's List for help. Land-Art was not the only company I contacted, but they were my first choice. They are not the cheapest, but their price is more than fair for the quality of work, thoroughness, and professionalism. On the date of my first application, the two technicians came to my door, introduced themselves, and did a walk around my property with me. They were respectful, good listeners (and teachers), in uniform (a huge plus for me), and took their work seriously.
Today, I called to get the date of my next application, and ask for treatment for nuts edge growing profusely in my yard. I was informed by Rae (sp?) that my next treatment is in five to seven days, and that nuts edge is included in the treatment. Furthermore, she informed me that should this application not be satisfactory, I can telephone for a service call free of charge. I also wanted an estimate on some landscaping work. I was informed that Land-Art doesn't do that, but she cheerfully gave me a recommendation.
I am a happy camper.

When I moved into my new house, the lawn was in awful shape.  It was a brand new lawn with a sprinkler system installed, but the sprinklers were only set to come on once per week (during an insanely hot summer), so the whole lawn basically looked dead.  You can't really have much done to your lawn until it has been mowed a few times, so I had ample time to see what the lawn would do on its own.  With proper watering, it did begin to grow, but it was still very thin and not particularly healthy looking.  Even worse, the lawn was probably 1/3 grass and 2/3 crab grass and other weeds.  It was basically an embarrassment, compared to the other lawns in the neighborhood, almost all of which Land-Art services.
So far this summer, they've fertilized two or three times, and they've also been out twice for weed control.  I'm going to have them aerate and over-seed the lawn later in the fall, but already I can't believe how thick the lawn has become and how after two visits, the weeds are practically non-existent!  I do not expect a perfect lawn in the first year of a new house, but I really did not expect the results that I've seen already and it's hard to believe that the lawn wasn't already re-seeded.  
I've never actually seen them here, but when they come they leave you a pretty detailed form with exactly what they did, how much fertilizer or weed control they've used, and what they recommend going forward.  When I started with them, I called quite a few times to ask questions about the lawn and their services and they were always incredibly patient with me and answered everything completely.  The first time they came out to fertilize, I had questions about what they had written and what they had done.  The operator was not sure, but later that day, I got a phone call from the person who had actually treated the lawn, and all of my questions were answered.  
One thing that I really appreciate is that they will continue to come out between regularly scheduled visits until you're satisfied.  On the first visit, they did not apply crab grass control because they said the lawn was too new and may be damaged by adding weed control to grass that was already stressed with the very high heat.  However, they showed up about two weeks later, once it had cooled down, and applied the weed killer.  About a week or two later, they were back again to kill whatever they didn't get the first time.  If you see something you don't like, give them a call and they're out within a couple days to take care of it, and it's all included in the yearly service contract
I really have no idea where the negative reviews here come from.  Everyone I've dealt with at Land-Art has been extremely friendly, fast, and I did not think it was possible for my lawn to look as good as it currently does.  I can't wait to see how it's going to look next year when Land-Art gets to start at the beginning of the season and not spend the hottest summer I can remember fixing a nearly-dead lawn!

I had purchased a package deal of services in 2010. Had several issues with the service and asked for a refund. The owner called and stated he didn't give refunds, but would make sure I was satisfied with the services I had paid for. The first re-do of sevices entailed aeration. I came home to a mess all over and a damaged driveway in several places. I called the day it happened. They sent someone out and said they would be back to repair. As of this date nothing has been repaired. I have since had my driveway resurfaced as I was tired of looking at the damage. (Although you can still see the damage) They came back to seed, only in some areas to see how it reacted. I paid to have my entire lawn seeded, not just certain areas. The first time they seeded, it was all over everywhere, in the rock landscaping is where the most grass grew. I again alerted them of the situation and they assured me they would send someone out to take care of the issue. On June 12, I came home to a bill in the door. I called them to ask what it was about...they stated it was for their services. The only services I had requested were the ones I had previously paid for, which to this date has still not been received. I have called back several times, only to be told that my account has been closed, that the owner would call me to discuss. It is now August 7th and still no resolution.

I am a perfectionist when it comes to my lawn.  My lawn has never looked this bad .  I had to call them three times to get them to come out and assess the weed issue this season.  They made an appointment and the technician never showed up.  I have my lawn aerated twice a year and I still have weeds and bald spots everywhere. In addition, we irrigate daily.

Our 3 acres of lawn on heavy clay has gradually been getting out of hand with crabgrass and weeds over the years. Last year I decided to try one of the other National chain lawn service companies. They promised alot and delivered zilch. This year I decided to try LandArt, a local company. So far to-date they have been wonderful. I could not have expected the results in our lawn that I have seen so far. In the beginning our weeds were very difficult to control but after another application, it seemed to do the trick. It is July now and crabgrass is 99% not showing. We are very pleased with the results. Our lawn was very difficult and most likely a challenge to them but after only 3 applications we have no weeds, the grass is greener and thicker. Thanks LandArt!

Overall, a good experience made good by a responsive office staff.  I never saw the guys in the truck, although I see them in my neighborhood.  They look and act professional.

On April 20, my husband and I were sitting at the kitchen table and noticed a man in the front yard.  He was spreading something onto the yard.  We went to the front door and asked the gentleman what he was doing.  He asked for our address (It is on the post in the yard).  We told him.  At that time, he realized he was servicing the wrong address.  We asked him what he was going to do, since he had already serviced a great portion of our yard.  He said he would go get the "team leader" to talk with us.  In a few minutes, another gentleman came to the door.  He indicated that they could not continue with the lawn service  and asked for our name and phone number.  He wrote it on double carbon paper, tore off the top sheet and gave it to us.  He said we could call the number on the sheet to possibly get a discount on a service contract .  A few minutes later, the other gentleman was again working in the front yard with the spreader.  We went to the door and asked what he was doing.  He replied "finishing up on your front yard".  He indicated that since it was his mistake, he was going to finish it.  We asked if we would be charged.  His reply was "No. It was my fault for getting the wrong address.  You won't be charged.  This will be between us.  A few days later, we received a bill.  Also, on the bill, we noticed that this company had set us up on a contract for service.  I called the office and spoke to a woman, I believe her name was Ray.  She was not professional at all and kept repeating that the "team leader" would be calling me.  To date, I have not received a call from anyone.  I have not and will not pay the bill.  Beware of this company.

They do a fine job. They show up on time and our lawn looks good.

They have been treating my yard and it has never looked better, They even come back if you develop weeds later and give you a complete report on what they have done

One time, I had grubs and did not know it. I then had moles digging through my yard. I had Land Art put down grub killer and the moles were gone. Ever since then, we've used Land Art and we have been happy. I never got rust like I did with the lawn service company I used previously.
