"I have used quite a few electrical companies in the past but none compared to Lightening Electric. They are very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful and their work was amazing! I would highly recommend them hands down!"
"This is the 2nd time I have used Safe Electric and both times I have used them have been great experiences. I had 3 new fixtures installed plus a new circuit run to be used for a new freezer in our finished basement. Jon & Eric were the two electricians that were sent to my home. They worked efficiently and quickly, but did outstanding work. Even though our basement had a finished ceiling, they were able to run a wire through with minimal disruption to the finished ceiling. I had concerns about the alignment of the lights on the fixture (this was a manufacturing defect and nothing to do with their installation) and they obliged me by improving the light alignment. They also cleaned up after they were completed and disposed of the old light fixtures and packaging materials for the new fixtures. Their work was excellent. The only negative aspect was the price which seemed very high to me. The cost for installation of the 3 light fixtures was $462 and the new circuit was $903."
"Multiple small electrical jobs, including ceiling fans installed, new outlet in the bathroom (in a spot where none previously existed), repair of existing non-functional outlets"
"I recently had Mosby Electric perform an electrical installation on 8-14-2026, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service. From the moment I called, their team demonstrated fast arrival and professionalism. The electricians were highly knowledgeable, completing the installation efficiently and with great attention to detail. Their expertise made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I truly appreciate the quality of their work and the respect they showed for my home. I gladly give Mosby Electric 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend them to anyone in need of electrical services."
"The Safe Electric guys are great. Craig took the time to explain what needed to be done and why and how they would do it. Although they had to diagnose and repair unexpected wiring issues, they did not charge me any more than the original estimate, and they worked over the weekend to finish the job on time."
"I recently moved into a new home with some electrical issues, and I had been searching for an electrician for several weeks. I interviewed dozens of electricians and could not find anyone that felt right for me and that I could trust. I had several issues in the home, the first of which I wanted to tackle was the panel and service. I saw an Angie's list deal and contacted Jeremy. He responded right away. He came out the same day to look at the panel and had his team out that same week to complete the work. He was the most responsive and most thorough of the 10+ electricians I received quotes from or talked to. He is not only an excellent electrician but is also a superior communicator and highly responsive. All of the other electricians I spoke with were anywhere from 4+ to 8+ weeks out with work and frequently did not bother getting back with me on quotes or questions. Jeremy was no more than 2 weeks out and always responded when I had a question or concern. As for the work done, I was very impressed with the quality of work that Jeremy and his team did. I will be using Undefined Heights for all of my future electrical needs, and I suggest you do the same. Jeremy and his team get an A+ in my book. Thanks Jeremy! "
"We had a variety of electrical issues. They were all addressed in one visit. I will have him back for a few other issues soon. I would recommend him to everyone."
"I had a very positive experience with my electrical project from start to finish. Garrett and Hunter were prompt, courteous and professional. Their honesty and workmanship were very appreciated. From the first call to the end of the project was five star. I Highly Recommend Survivor Electric to anyone!"
A bigger breaker alone probably won’t fix your problem of frequent tripping. But if you upgrade an electrical circuit to a higher amp rating, or upgrade your breaker box to handle more amps, it could solve your tripping problems. Consult a qualified electrician about the best course of action.
Yes, blue wires can be hot wires in the U.S. However, they are less common in residential properties than red and black hot wires. Blue wires are typically used as traveler wires in three-way and four-way switches, as well as ceiling fans. They allow fixtures to be controlled by multiple switches, like when there are switches at the top and bottom of a staircase for the same light.
You should never use a plug with burn marks because it can cause a fire or even an electrical shock. The burn marks could be caused by a dangerous underlying electrical problem, so it’s important to call a qualified electrician right away.
You can bury underground electrical wire six inches deep—but only if you use a rigid metal electrical conduit. For rigid, non-metallic conduits, bury the wire at least 12 inches deep. If using an underground feeder cable rated for direct burial, you'll need to place it at least 18 inches deep, as it has no conduit for extra protection.
Aluminum wiring can pose a significant fire risk because it tends to expand, contract, and overheat, leading to failing connections and splices. If your home has aluminum wiring, it doesn't always require a complete replacement, but you must take safety precautions. The first step is to hire a licensed electrician to conduct a thorough inspection. Based on their findings, you have several options:
Full Replacement: The safest but most expensive solution is to replace all aluminum wiring with copper.
Copper Pigtailing: A more budget-friendly option, suitable for certain homes, involves adding a short section of copper wire to the end of each aluminum wire at connection points.
Other Safety Upgrades: Your electrician may also recommend installing aluminum-compatible outlets and applying an anti-oxidant paste to connections to prevent corrosion.
Consulting a professional will help you determine the best course of action to ensure your home's wiring meets current safety standards.
