"Ed came to replace a defective piece of glass in a shower that they recently remodeled. I was concerned that the replacement installation might not look as good as the initial one but it came out perfect.
Ed did a great job."
""We couldn?t be more pleased with the shower replacement. From start to finish, the crew was professional, friendly, and respectful of our home. They kept the work area neat every day and delivered a beautiful, high-quality bathroom. A+ service all the way!""
"We replaced our bathtub with a walk in shower, and are extremely happy with the work that was provided. In only took one person 6 hours to complete the job, and he was very professional and the quality of work was great. Would hire them again."
"Dan is a rock star! He solved my plumbing problem finally. Previous repair people fell short and could not do anything that was helpful. I have trust in Hobbs company. They really helped me out."
"I recently had Lance Homes complete a couple of upgrades in my home, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. He installed new cabinet hardware throughout my kitchen and also replaced my bathroom vanity—and everything turned out absolutely beautiful.
From start to finish, he was professional, detail-oriented, and easy to work with. The cabinet hardware was installed perfectly and instantly gave my kitchen a fresh, updated look. The new bathroom vanity installation was just as impressive—clean, precise work with great attention to detail.
What really stood out was his craftsmanship and care. He treated my home with respect, showed up on time, and made sure everything was done right.
Highly recommend Lance Homes if you’re looking for quality work and a team you can trust!"
"I could not ask for a more efficient or professional upgrade to my bathroom. David and Kenny came to my house and surpassed my expectations. If I wanted more than was given I would have been unreasonable. From the point of sale to the completion of this install I am impressed, a happy camper as it were. No claim was made that has not been fulfilled. My thanks to The Bath Authority for the improvement to my home and the highly skilled people that put it all together."
"I am very pleased with the job Steven, Zack and Dan did in my bathroom. The change is to surprise you. Steven, Zack and Dan were very respectful and kind. They updated me every time they were going to start work. They were very professional and punctual. The work was done in one day with wonderful results. I can recommend all three of them, if you want a job well done and on time. Thanks to Steven,Zack and Dan, I have a comfortable and accessible shower, especially for my sister who has very specific health conditions. They treated her with respect and made sure that the bathroom accessories were within her reach. I definitely hire them after. Thanks guys."
"Shelly, the project designer with whom we worked, was fantastic. She has great ideas and is really organized. The bathrooms are really beautiful. The follow up from Bennett Dover was great as well. We had a few problems a year later, and they came and fixed them for us! Joe, the project manager, was great and really responsive too. They definitely cost more than other companies, but if you don't want to have to micromanage the job, it is probably worth it. The punch date ran last, as they used a subcontractor for the tile who took a loooooong time to finish and who was not very good. However, we complained about water pooling in the shower about 5 months after the job was done, and they came right out and fixed it."
Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts
While they’re heavier than their counterparts, cast-iron tubs are very simple to maintain. They have no seams and are durable, making them the easiest tub to maintain. While fiberglass and acrylic tubs are also relatively simple to maintain, they often have seams, making maintenance a little more difficult.
Small bathroom renovation costs don’t have to break the bank. A $5,000 budget is realistic, provided you're not adding luxurious fittings or making complex layout changes. Changing the layout is the most costly aspect of renovating a bathroom. So if you keep the layout, do some of the job DIY (within your skillset), and use relatively affordable fixtures and accessories, you should be able to stay within your budget.
In some cases, people are getting rid of bathtubs because of the floor space they gain after removal. Showers can make more efficient use of bathroom space. In some cases, people get rid of tubs for accessibility purposes. It can be difficult for some individuals to step into and out of a tub. For these people, a shower with no lip or step is safer and easier to use than a tub.
There are a few things you can do to keep your bathroom remodel as affordable as possible in your mobile home:
Ask your contractor to replace caulk and grout rather than retiling
Ask your professional to refinish your tub/shower rather than replacing
Upgrade your sink fixtures rather than replacing the sink
Upgrade cabinet hardware and ask your remodeler to refinish the cabinets
Avoid changing the layout of your bathroom
A peeling bathtub is not a good thing. It’s a sign that the finish is coming off, and continued exposure to water and cleaning products can continue to damage the finish and eventually the underlying structure of the tub. What starts as a few chips or flakes can worsen into large chunks peeling off.
