"I had an estimate done on some electric work, and James Pinson did an excellent job. He was very thorough, clear with his suggestions, and the pricing was very competitive. Based on James's visit and the estimate he provided, I chose Mr. Electric to complete the work."

Small jobs welcome

"Called 6/20/19. First available appointment 7/11/19. I found another company who came 6/27/19 for free estimate and they did repair the light. Aside from having to wait 3 weeks, they charge $69.00 service fee to come out. They also do electrical house check at that time."

"Mr. Electric provided excellent service for me under difficult circumstances. A building contractor damaged a wire and buried it under 42” of concrete. Ryan Corley, Mr. Electric’s wire detection specialist, was able to locate the wire accurately. Electricians Jeff Shipkosky and Khefren Johnson spent two and a half very long days, in 93-degree heat, digging around the perimeter of my house. Both ends of the damaged wire were eventually located six feet underground, which is considerable deeper than code requires. Justin David, Mr. Electric’s manager, was here working alongside his men and provided all the support possible to them. He maintained full contact and communication with me throughout the entire process. These men, along with a crew of assistants, are a class act company. I was very impressed at the dedication of Mr. Electric and recommend them highly."

"Very well. The All Electric Inc. electrician, Ashton did an excellent job in a reasonable amount of time. He was knowledgeable and neat as well as cleaning the area when the project was finished. "These guys ran original wiring from the electric panel to the garage, installed lights, outlets, an outside socket and exterior lights. The garage had one light bulb and one outlet. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work or the price. I just wish I had taken before and after pictures. They are on my agenda for further renovations."

"Tim is excellent! He was on time, extremely tidy, and he alone, made the electrical work for my kitchen remodel a smooth and easy process. Here's a list of the work he diligently completed. 1. Updated Siemens 100 amp sub-panel from an outdated Wadsworth panel. 2. Installed 7 new recessed lights in my dining room and kitchen. 3. Added dedicated circuits for my microwave, dishwasher, and above the countertops. 4. Installed dimmer switches added additional outlets in my dining room and living room. 5. Installed very elegant under cabinet lighting throughout my kitchen. I promise you... when it comes to electrical, Tim can do it all. And that's just the start. He's was also a joy to have in my home. He's kind, relatable, respectful, tidy, and takes great pride in his work. If you're looking for an electrician, I highly suggest you hire this young man. I can't say enough good things about my experience with him! THANK YOU TIM!! Attached is a photo of the under cabinet lighting."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

No, you don’t need to hire an electrician to install your garage door opener. Garage door professionals have the skills and expertise to install the wiring necessary to connect the opener to your home’s wiring system. When hiring a local garage door professional to install your system, make sure the opener task is included in the list of provided services.

If all of the outlets in one room suddenly stop working, it’s likely the result of a tripped circuit breaker. This easy-to-resolve malfunction is caused by overloading the circuit with too many working appliances at the same time. Locate the tripped breaker in your electrical panel and reset it to restore power.

Yes, an electrical fire can start even if nothing is plugged into an outlet. While a correctly functioning outlet poses no risk, a fire can be caused by faulty wiring, damaged outlet components, an overloaded circuit, or other electrical problems hidden behind the walls. If you suspect a fault, immediately turn off the circuit breaker and contact a professional electrician to diagnose and repair the issue.

If you’re outlet isn’t working but the breaker isn’t tripped , that could mean a number of things. First, check if it’s a GFCI outlet, which has added protection so your breakers don’t malfunction. If that’s the case, simply hit the outlet's reset button and see if it works. If it doesn’t, or you don’t have a GFCI outlet, you might have a loose outlet or loose wiring, a damaged breaker, or an overloaded circuit, which would require a dedicated breaker. It’s best to consult with an electrician to diagnose the problem accurately.

Switching the hot and neutral wires in an outlet or receptacle, a condition known as reverse polarity, is dangerous. While the outlet will still function and provide power, it creates a significant electrical shock hazard because anything plugged into it will remain electrified even when switched off. If you touch a conductive part of the appliance, such as the metal components of a toaster, you could receive an electric shock.
