"Things went fine at first. Tyler and assistant showed up promptly, were courteous and seemed capable. They quoted and returned the following day, completing 95% of the job. They used caulk grout to repair shower tile in master bath instead of powder grout I already had, but that wasn't a big deal. Once dried, it looked almost the same. Before leaving Tyler informed a touch up application was recommended and said they'd be back the following day (Friday). Once the caulk dried, it was evident a second layer of caulk was necessary, as there were many gaps in the first coat, leaving an incomplete seal. Water in the gaps would eventually wreck it and it would have to be done again. This is where is where things went south. I didn't hear from Tyler the final day about finishing the job. When trying to reach him, I received a text saying he had a family emergency and would be over as soon as he could. No mention of what day. No problem I figured, things happen. Fast forward to monday and again I had to contact him, with him giving more details of personal issues. I'm a tolerant person and understand unexpected events, but a full week passed then ten days and still no mention of return date or finishing the job. All the while, my household was unable - and currently still unable - to use our master shower, which we normally use daily. Almost two full weeks have now passed and he never came back to complete the job. This is after already being paid! He was not proactive at all in scheduling a completion date, just multiple vague assurances of getting it done sometime. Poor communication. It would've taken all of 15-20 minutes to do, could've stopped by on the way to other jobs, but he didn't make it any kind of priority. This is also after receiving a $50 tip. Insult to injury. I didn't have to do that. I am disappointed in selecting this pro and how this turned out. Having to walk from one side of the home to the other to use the guest bath shower again and again makes me regret hiring him. I need a job done right, and in at least a somewhat timely manner. Family emergencies are one thing, but how about finishing what you started. Left us hanging. I had other bigger jobs I could've hired him for, but after this experience forget it. Now I have to pay another pro to fix his mess. Refund please."

He has worked in this field his whole professional life and has seen a lot in his time. His employees are also quite experienced in the field and willing to share their knowledge just as Lance does. My ability and confidence in how to manage home repair has increased greatly. All exterior walls of the basement were waterproofed in approximately two weeks of work, with new cement laid first, followed by drylock; the basement windows got a silicone seal around the edges, and new window well covers were installed. Now, our basement is dry and safe. Real Deal Remodeling is not a company that hastily paints drylock on the walls and proclaims the basement waterproofed. Where Lance really shone is with the paint colors for the living room. He helped us narrow down our selection for the accent wall around the fireplace, and multiple visitors have complemented us on our design choices. It is high praise when visitors to one’s home wonder aloud about remodeling and redesigning their own homes. No more antique white on every wall in the house for us!"

Bathroom backsplash was completed with non-matching grout and inaccurate cut. Mr. Sanger was notified about issues and was agreed to fix it after ending of stay at home order. He has asked us to remove those tile and we did. John was contacted several times now via phone, text, emails, and did not get back to me. The bathroom tile is in my elderly parent area and she used to live with the naked wall for 3+ months already,"
