"I contracted with Plumb Tite to fix\replace my current basement sump pump system and also take care of a leak from my 1st floor shower drain. They sent out a representative (Sara) who did a thural job of assessing the situation and offered me a few options to best suit my requirements. I selected the most complete option. For the Sump system, I elected to have a battery backup with 2 pumps installed. I also needed to have the Sump discharge re-piped and checked, making sure it was working without any obstructions. Dustin and Brandon arrived at my residence at the arranged time and commenced working on the project. They kept me apprised of the progress throughout the morning. They both were very professional and respective of the current social distancing practices that are in place because of COVID 19. The work was completed in a reasonable amount of time, and all debris were cleaned up nicely. Dustin and Brandon debriefed me on all the work done, explained the operation of the new sump system and proved the associated manuals. Brandon also made it a point to let me know the details of the warranted work and materials. I was happily surprised that the coverage was so great and really feel that Plumb Tite is serious about doing great work at a reasonable cost. Lastly I was contacted a day after the work by Betty, who wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the work that was completed. She also communicated how Plumb Tite stands behind their work and excels at customer service. I am convinced that is true. I can now understand why Plumb Tite has so many great reviews of their work. I would recommend them for any plumbing project\repair that they cover (which is a lot). Check out their web site if you want to know more (https://plumbtite.com/)."

"Aaron was incredibly friendly and helped us avoid an unnecessary use of our free pipe cleaning! He explained to us some things about our drain system that we didn’t know and I am very appreciative. ^_^"

"The installation was quick, with limited demo to my finished basement. I had water seeping in under my baseboards and saturating the carpet during heavy rains. The gutter system will collect all that water and divert it to my sump pit. I was thrilled with the work done, and between demoing the drywall and frame to about a foot off the floor, to jackhammering the entire perimeter, to hauling in gravel, and installing the gutter and new window well drains, to finally topping it all off with a moisture barrier and some smooth new quikcrete, it only took a couple of days, and I couple not be happier with the end results."

"My yard has a low point right in the middle of it that when it rains collects all the water and stays wet for days after it rains. I had stay dry install a drain in the exact spot I was having my problems and they ran the drain line to the city storm drain and even brought in dirt to raise the low part of my yard up to help try to make it flat so it looks better. The guys that work for this company really do work extremely hard. They didnâ t stop all day and was able to complete the project in just one day. If your having problems at least give them a call its worth it."

"The EverDry process is very thorough.  They trenched around the inside wall in the basement, the outside of the house and put in their air system.  I have a model railroad around several points of the wall in the basement.  I jacked it up 3 1/2 inches and they worked under it.  The crew covered the layout with plastic to keep out the dust off from busting up the concrete. The carpet in the basement had been wet from water leakage and needed to be replaced. They cut it along the wall and removed a 1 1/2 foot strip along the wall. They put a drain pipe and sand in the trench and drilled holes in the cement blocks to drain off water in the wall. They replaced the cement floor over the pipe. They cleaned up the mess and installed  two sump pumps, one for backkup,  and back up battery power system. The crew was polite and professional.  Their work was done timely. They installed a plastic sheet in the trench around the house and drain pipe to carry water around the house away. The water was carried away from the house in PVC pipe and drains in the yard. The crew also installed their air system that circulates moist air out of the basement. They cleaned up when it was all over. The result was a dry basement that has remained dry through the wet springs for over five years.  My only regret is not having it done sooner.

"The sealing of the foundation went well, I am very pleased with that. The pipe replacement happened within a few days of them telling me they would get it done. However when they cut through the pipe, they also cut through my siding! I called the sales guy I had been dealing with, Paul, and he said he would pay for the repairs or they could send someone out. That was 1/12/19 I had a handy man ready to drywall the wall, so I had my guy fix their mistake and let them know it would be $100.00 for the repair. Paul said they would credit my credit card. It has now been 2 weeks and my I have not received my refund."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Even if the shower drain doesn’t seem clogged or dirty, plan to clean it out about once per month—or more frequently if you or your family shed a lot of hair. It’s a good practice to remove any hair from the drain on a daily basis, as hair can accumulate fast and cause clogs in no time. You may also want to have a plumber thoroughly clean the drains in your home once every six months.

There are several signs that can indicate your leach lines are broken, failing, or in need of repair, including puddles of water or a marshy consistency to the ground above or around the pipes, slow drainage or plumbing backups inside your home, and noticeable odors or gurgling sounds coming from your leach field. Keeping your septic system properly maintained, including having your septic tank pumped at regular intervals, can help ensure your leach lines stay in good working order for a long time.

To keep window wells from filling up with water, you need to stay on top of maintenance. Remove debris as it fills up, and regularly loosen the gravel at the base if it’s become compacted. You can also reslope your yard to make sure water flows away from the window well (and your home’s foundation), and you can even install a window well cover to prevent debris from building up. Installing an actual drainpipe at the base of the well can also prevent window well drainage problems.

Drain fly problems can go away on their own—but only if the insects find the environment inhospitable. Those with a minor infestation can simply flush their toilets and run their faucets more frequently to flush out the flies and larvae. Others will have to deep clean their drains and set up traps.

Yes, you can use vinegar to unclog a dishwasher. To do so, combine 4 tablespoons of white vinegar with 4 tablespoons of baking soda and pour the mixture down your dishwasher’s drain. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then pour a cup of hot water down the drain to flush everything out. Finally, run a rinse cycle on your dishwasher to see if the clog is gone.
