"Eco plumbers quickly resolved our stopped-up drain by running a snake. They eliminated the clog and also cleared some roots from the sewer pipe. Finally, they made sure that there were no secondary back-ups elsewhere in the house."

"The installation was quick, with limited demo to my finished basement. I had water seeping in under my baseboards and saturating the carpet during heavy rains. The gutter system will collect all that water and divert it to my sump pit. I was thrilled with the work done, and between demoing the drywall and frame to about a foot off the floor, to jackhammering the entire perimeter, to hauling in gravel, and installing the gutter and new window well drains, to finally topping it all off with a moisture barrier and some smooth new quikcrete, it only took a couple of days, and I couple not be happier with the end results."

"Company did a fantastic job. Had some drainage issues with a retaining wall. Company came out installed a French drain around the wall to prevent any overflowing or more damage to my wall. Job has been done since September have had some very heavy rains since. The drain I is working excellent. Definitely considering calling them back to have some additional work done."

"Josh arrived the morning after my call for service to unclog my kitchen sink. I had exhausted my efforts by using two different plungers to no avail. I was quoted a reasonable price agreeing to the charge. I just felt it was going to be more of a job than either of us thought. I was correct as Josh snaked and augured the drain pipes without success. Moving to a clean out he worked revealing a grease plug. To move it required air and water pressure and an acceptable price increase. After about four hours, all blockage was moved along and the drain was open. If needing a plumber in the future, Josh will be the first I call."

"The EverDry process is very thorough. They trenched around the inside wall in the basement, the outside of the house and put in their air system. I have a model railroad around several points of the wall in the basement. I jacked it up 3 1/2 inches and they worked under it. The crew covered the layout with plastic to keep out the dust off from busting up the concrete. The carpet in the basement had been wet from water leakage and needed to be replaced. They cut it along the wall and removed a 1 1/2 foot strip along the wall. They put a drain pipe and sand in the trench and drilled holes in the cement blocks to drain off water in the wall. They replaced the cement floor over the pipe. They cleaned up the mess and installed two sump pumps, one for backkup, and back up battery power system. The crew was polite and professional. Their work was done timely. They installed a plastic sheet in the trench around the house and drain pipe to carry water around the house away. The water was carried away from the house in PVC pipe and drains in the yard. The crew also installed their air system that circulates moist air out of the basement. They cleaned up when it was all over. The result was a dry basement that has remained dry through the wet springs for over five years. My only regret is not having it done sooner.

"The sealing of the foundation went well, I am very pleased with that. The pipe replacement happened within a few days of them telling me they would get it done. However when they cut through the pipe, they also cut through my siding! I called the sales guy I had been dealing with, Paul, and he said he would pay for the repairs or they could send someone out. That was 1/12/19 I had a handy man ready to drywall the wall, so I had my guy fix their mistake and let them know it would be $100.00 for the repair. Paul said they would credit my credit card. It has now been 2 weeks and my I have not received my refund."

The regulations around whether drain pipe installers need to hold licenses or certifications differ based on where you live and the type of drain pipe installed. Municipalities have varying rules and regulations about who can and can’t perform plumbing work. However, we recommend hiring a certified plumber to install or modify your drain lines. Licensed plumbers will perform a high-quality, professional installation, which translates to a lower risk of clogs and leaks in the future. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to confirm the license status of your potential plumber before hiring them to install your drain pipe.
The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.
Plumbers will typically take one to two hours to install a new drain pipe, but that timeline can vary based on the area’s accessibility, the drain length, and the type of drain line. Replacing an easily accessible p-trap under a sink could take as little as a half an hour, while replacing a larger section of drain line behind the wall could take as long as three to four hours. When hiring a plumber for your specific installation, ask them to provide an estimated timeline to get a more accurate assessment.
You might need a permit to modify or repair any portion of your plumbing system, including drainage lines, depending on where you live. In some areas, simple replacements of existing drain lines don’t require a permit. We recommend asking your drain pipe installer or your local building department about permitting requirements. In many cases, only certified plumbers can pull plumbing permits, so you’ll usually need to leave the permit application to your professional. The fee for the permit will be passed to you on your project bill, though.
We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.
