One of the 2 employees from D&B arrived at my house and after I showed him where the leak was, he made the decision right then and there that my home warranty would not cover the costs. At this point, I had already paid $100 for the service call fee and wanted to know my options, including costs out of pocket. He said that he'd call me within 2 days after writing up a summary. A week went by and did not hear anything, but I did get an email informing me that my service request had been closed/resolved and that D&B was paid for their time. Needless to say, I was surprised b/c all they did was come to my house and spend less than 10 minutes. PLEASE DO NOT use these guys--even if your home warranty company uses them, request another company OR pay for a qualified plumber on your own. I do think that this company survives only by collecting service fees from individuals who work through their home warranty companies.

Came the next day, cleared the clog and even went above and beyond and replaced a portion of the pipe.

AHS sent them out for a water pipe leak. Was there less than 5 minutes, went back out to truck and said it was denied because it was pre-existing even though we had just has a certified home inspection done less than 30 days ago. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! Called AHS, they said call D&B and let them know about the inspection. Gentleman that answered the phone said "That ain't how this works, call AHS" Steer clear of this company at all costs!!! Tell AHS that they need to stop using them!!!

Never answers the phone or returns phone calls. They refuse to deal with a problem. Instead they will only respond when someone gives them a bad rating. Replaced a water heater that already doesn't work, and didn't care for when installing it. Now won't return phone calls.

D&B plumbing was very prompt and professional. They took the time to answer questions and explained the work that they did. I would highly recommend them

We used this company through our home warranty. It seemed up getting a good choice. The tech came as scheduled quickly identified both leaks and fixed them. I'd go with this company again.

It took a couple of days to get all the kinks worked out, but Dennis made sure we got scheduled for the next day replacement..... I felt compelled to give a positive review, since it seems easier for people to complain on Angies list.

Had to use this company through American Home Shield home warranty when my water heater started leaking. The first tech that arrived pulled into my driveway and the first thing out of his mouth was "I'm not here to do anything today." He and his helper entered my home and before he even saw the water heater stated "I can already see we have a lot of problems." After looking at it briefly, stated to me that he had a water heater in his truck but he wasn't putting it in. He was going to recommend a "cash out" to my warranty company and I could deal with this myself. AHS contacted me a day later with this company's "diagnosis." The tech stated in his report that he arrived to my residence & couldn't diagnose the problem because the water was shut off to the water heater. After I complained, AHS made another appointment for this company to send another tech to my home. Rodney arrived to my residence the second time around. Rodney stated to me (I have all of this recorded on video on my phone) that he didn't understand why the 1st tech told me it was not doable and he always has to come out after him to fix situations. After Rodney told me my water heater was very doable, he was personally putting in his report that he was recommending to AHS that they go ahead and order a water heater and as soon as it arrived at their shop, they would contact me to schedule replacement. I also asked about hidden fees like water heater removal, moving gas, water lines to the water heater, the flue, etc. as I had a copy of what my warranty covered. Rodney started naming off fees for water heater removal ($60) and other made-up fees. When I rattled off my warranty contract coverages verbatum, his tone changed & stated everything would be taken care of by him. His report to AHS stated that they would have to jack hammer my floor, relocate water lines and that there would be clearance issues with a new water heater and he recommended a "cash out" option. AHS asked if I would like for D & B to replace my water heater but according to their recommendations, I would be stuck with paying for almost $1000 in extra fees. Rodney flat out lied (on recording) to my face. This company sends their techs out to get their guaranteed service call fees from AHS, lies to the customer or finds ways to add extra fees that they claim your warranty company won't cover. I wouldn't call this company to screw a garden hose to my spigot because they would probably initially charge you a service fee to send their first tech out to pull up & say he isn't going to do it. Then charge you a second service fee to come out again, bad-mouth the first service tech who came out, state that the job is easy, then try to find every way to lie to the customer and add additional fees to the bill by making up things that are wrong with your hose or spigot. This company is a joke, fraud & obviously according to 99% of their reviews on Google, Angie's List, the Better Business Bureau, anything but a reputable plumbing business. The only star they rate is for the secretary who seems to be the only polite and honest one for this business. After receiving my "cash out" check, since I am an electrician & work in the industrial, commercial construction business, I had a certified plumbing buddy of mine from a real plumbing business, help me install my new water heater. It is 1" larger in diameter than my old one, but fits in the same space the same way as my old one did, without having to "jackhammer" my floor or relocate my main water lines. The door to my closet even shuts all the way now because he readjusted the gas line feeding it for me. You know why? Because he is a real plumber who isn't a fraud, and cares about his company's reputation and his customer's satisfaction in doing a good job.

Just plain awful. They were out to our home twice for the same problem within a week. We had a sewage back-up in our basement, and the first time the plumber simply used a plunger on the drain near our furnace and said the problem was cleared. On the receipt, he claimed he had snaked the drain. This is simply not true, which means that he lied to our homeowner's insurance company in order to get paid for a snaking that he did not do. When the problem came back, he blamed it on our contractor. (We had just had our basement refinished.) He said he was sure they had crushed a line while finishing our basement, and that the plumbing in the opposite side of the house would be fine to use. (At this point we had been displaced from our home for 3 days, and I wanted to get back in our house. He said it would be fine if we just didn't use the plumbing on one side of the house.) We called out another company for a second opinion, and they came out, opened one pipe, and took care of the problem within about 20 minutes. This second company said that he felt like the other plumber blaming things on the contractor likely meant he just didn't know what it was, so he was blaming someone else. Lie #2 from D&B. He also said that it was crazy to suggest that the plumbing on one side of the house would be fine to use. He said that we were lucky we didn't do so, or we would have been standing in a couple of feet of sewage rather than the small problem we started with. Lie #3 from D&B. And not only did he lie multiple times and leave us with a potential disaster on our hands, but if we had called out the 2nd opinion company to begin with, we would have had someone who knew what they were doing and would not have been displaced from our home for a total of 4 days. Do not let these people in your home. They will make the problem worse and lie to your face while doing so.

At first, things seemed ok. They told us that they had replaced the "guts" of our toilets on 2 occasions to make them run properly. Our upstairs toilet has never worked properly since. When we called back because we were still having issues, due to the fact that the "guts" had NOT been replaced, we were told it would be another $65 for them to come back out and do the work they stated had already been done. If we were not sent to them by our home warranty company we would have never used them. The cost was $65 per occurrence...so 130 overall

The service was a disaster. We were without cold water in two of our bathrooms for nearly 2 months. The parts weren't ordered, then the wrong parts came twice. I took time off from work to come home to meet the plumber on one occasion, but they dancelled at the last minute because the wrong parts had come in. Communication was terrible. Eventually, our warranty service refunded our money because the service was so poor.

I really like Tom. He's really good. He takes care of things efficiently. He's a really nice, decent man and a good plumber. He does a thorough job. I've had him here a number of times. He does nice things for me like charge my truck while he's here, so that's pretty nice. He goes above and beyond. He's gotten so busy that he's not able to do as much as when I first started using him. He doesn't overcharge, like a lot of the big plumbing companies do.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Would NOT recommend! The owner, Dennis, was rude and did not return phone calls. If I asked Dennis to repeat something or recap what we agreed upon, his reply was "Didn't you write it down"? The first guy that came out from D&B, did not measure my existing water heater. So when D&B came out a week later to install the new one, it was larger than my existing one and they had to do a pipe modification to make it fit. D&B inflates prices. For example, I needed a pan placed under the water heater. D&B wanted to charge me $60 to provide the pan, which was available at Lowes and Home Depot for $23!! I had no choice but to agree or they weren't going to perform the work. When they arrived to install the water heater, the pan they were going to use was rusty and all banged up. I called Dennis and complained. He finally agreed to let me purchase and use my own pan. The plumber installing the water heater told me that my washer/dryer needed to be moved in order for him to get the water heater in. I asked if he could do that... He indicated that he would have to charge me! I was afraid to even ask how much. I am a 5'2", 140 pound female. I simply pushed the washer and dryer over a few inches. Took me all of 30 seconds. Something that this plumber, who was male by the way, could have simply done. While working on the pipe modification, the plumber set off the fire alarm with his blowtorch (or whatever it's called). I came downstairs to see what was going on and he proceeded to work. He never acknowledged me or apologized. I would never use this company again and am sending a complaint to American Home Shield who required that I use this contractor or they may or may not reimburse my expenses.

American Home Shield sent out D & B Plumbing for a leak under my kitchen sink. They called to schedule service with in 2 hours of the trouble call being placed. They were here the next day right on time. He told us that the leak was from where the water line for the fridge was connected. He quickly repaired the problem and cleaned up. He was friendly and efficient.

The installation went fine, but after they left we noticed the plumbing in our basement (2 sinks, toilet, shower) was still turned off. I called Dennis at D&B Plumbing to ask if they could come back and fix the problem but they insisted there was no way they caused the problem. They offered to return to look at the plumbing for a $120 service fee. I contacted a different plumbing company who came out and found the problem was a cold water shut off valve (located behind the water heater) that had not been turned back on.... definitely caused by the water heater installation by D&B Plumbing. I wasn't upset that the valve was left off. but by their complete lack of customer service. I initiated a formal complaint against D&B Plumbing with my home warranty company, who assured me they will not send them out to my house for any future plumbing issues.

They were a second chance on our home warranty coverage. They were honest, straight forward, quick and on time. The gentleman who answered the phone was a bit short when it came to working around our schedule to set the appointment (this was not an emergency repair, and we were in no hurry) but otherwise they were extremely professional.

The water pressure in my house began to surge recently whenever a large amount was used. It appeared the pressure regulator was going bad. I contacted our home warranty company. After explaining the situation they assigned the work to D&B. D&B contacted us promptly and arrived on time. I demonstrated the issue to Jim and he turned the screw on the regulator to open it more to alleviate the problem. In my opinion that was only a temporary fix. I explained to him that I did not agree that opening the regulator was a long term solution. He disagreed and stated the warranty company would not cover replacement of the regulator. I asked him to call the warranty company and he began to get agitated and raise his voice. On the way out of the house to call the warranty company from his van he slammed the door. I thought his behavior had become very unprofessional and I asked him to leave. He obliged.

Contacted this plumbing company via my home warranty company. They arrived a bit later than expected due to an unexpected stop at a supply place, but otherwise were professional and completed the job quickly and completely. Based on my experience I would use them again in the future.

They were professional. They made sure to wipe their feet while coming into the house. They explained as to what had caused the problem and how they fixed it.
