"Everything went fine.  Went with the upgraded glass, which they claim is the efficiency equivalent of a triple pane.  Came out within 2 days for a quote, after a couple of other quotes, came back out the day I called to sign service agreement.  They do require  a third of the cost up front.  Then scheduled for measurements the next week, and installation a month later.  They could probably save time, by having the salesman do a more detailed measurement.  luckily I work close to home and have the ability to run home.  They do take a 4-6 weeks to get installed.  They say because they're custom windows, which is great and all, but my windows are pretty standard size.  One of the other places I called, said it would be done within a week, and for 700 dollars less.  (He wasn't aware of the Wallside quote)  The only reason we went with Wallside is the lifetime guarantee on the frames and seals, and 5 year guarantee on the glass.  They were running a "buy one, get one"  but that's just a marketing gimmick, they're roughly the same price all the time, they just change the names of the sale. 
They do use sub-contractors to do the installation, but they had 4 or 5 guys there at 8:30 am, and they removed the old windows, and installed the windows and flashings and were done by 1pm, which worked for me for 15 of them.  They do require you to move furniture and wall hangings 4 feet from the area which is reasonable, and they do cover everything with palstic, keeping it clean.  The lead tech even let me know to contact DTE Energy, since the windows are eligible for a 15 dollar a piece rebate.  Something I think the salesman would have known.
They only get a B on price, since they're not the cheapest, and they do give you the used car salesman pressure to sign on the spot, and do require a 1/3 up front.  Also a B on Responsiveness, since it does take a month and a half to schedule installation, and set up a separate appointment for measurements, that only took 10 minutes.  Again the salesman should be able to handle that.  The other quote i received, the guy said they're standard windows and he could pick them up at the supplier that week.
The guarantee is what won me on this one, Michigan weather can be brutal on windows.  The other guys couldn't give a concrete guarantee, and I would have to contact the manufacturers on my own and mail in the request if needed.

"I had to speak to at least 5 different people in the prosses and communication between them wasn't always accurate. Their suppliers caused delays, in particular the glass door. First instaler was very good but had to wait a month for the doors. Not happy with door, they seem fragile and hang very loose. Expected much better for $10'000. Don't have a good idea what to expect because each process ie: sales, measuring, 'dispachers , instalers, is a different person and start over with questions."
