"The team at Waterbird more than exceeded our expectations. We called with an immediate need and they were able to come out the same day. Once our needs were identified they scheduled and came back the next day to install a continuous Ultraviolet filtration system. Chase and his coworkers took customer service to a whole new level! We couldn’t be happier with the work that was done if we tried. We recommend to all !!!!"

"Tech was able to tell me what the error code meant but did not want me to order part until testing with volt meter. Diag appointment with volt meter did not cost extra. Tech gave me part numbers and it fixed the problem."

"In 2021, I hired JCJ Builders ( Jeff Jones) to remodel my kitchen. After the first day of demo, I had my doubts but Jeff reassured me and walked me through step by step the entire process. I love my new kitchen! I even had him do stage 2 ( livingroom). I would recommend JCJ Builders for any future projects."

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

Typical methods for asbestos removal include encapsulation, enclosure, and complete removal.

Although the use of asbestos has declined since the 1980s, it remains in several different types of building construction materials for insulation and as a fire retardant. Typically, asbestos can be found in materials such as ceiling and floor tiles, heat-resistant fabrics and coatings, and roof shingles. You may also find asbestos in textured paint and patching compounds.

No, but it’s common that they do. Gravity furnaces weren’t terribly efficient so wrapping either the ductwork in asbestos, the furnace itself, or both, was something done regularly. This allowed the system to retain more heat. At the time, this greatly enhanced the efficiency of the furnaces but it wasn’t until later that we became aware of just how carcinogenic and dangerous asbestos could be.

It is strongly advised not to touch or disturb asbestos-containing materials unless necessary. Asbestos fibers can be released into the air when the material is damaged or disturbed, posing serious health risks if inhaled. It is best to leave any handling of asbestos to trained professionals who can remove the asbestos safely.

Asbestos is a carcinogen, meaning it increases the risk of cancer. Inhaling asbestos fibers is linked to several respiratory issues, including asbestosis, or scarring on the lungs, lung cancer, and mesothelioma, another type of cancer. There's also a link between asbestos exposure and an increased risk of colon cancer and other cancers of the digestive system.

Usually, the people most at risk for disease related to asbestos exposure are those who spend a lot of time working around the material without protection. Electricians who work with asbestos wire have a higher risk of developing mesothelioma or lung cancer due to their exposure.
