Customers say: Terrific value

"I decided to hire someone for the first time to do my spring cleanup. I went with Mueller because they do my snow removal. I was very pleased with how my yard looked after they were finished."

"I can not say enough good things about Darrell and his crew. The first job was a whole house junk removal. They were thorough efficient. Anything they found that might be sentimental or of value they would ask before tossing it. The 2nd job was a garage tear down basement drywall removal. They did an amazing job and cleaned up things that were not their responsibility like old flooring yard bags that I should have taken care of. They are a great group of guys, I highly recommend this company."

"I called Legacy Junk Removal to remove an old shed in my yard. The owner was very nice to talk to and understood what I wanted done. He and his wife came out, took down the shed and removed all debris in a short period of time. Thank you Legacy Junk Removal for being understanding and very efficient!"

Small jobs welcome

"The estimate was great for the work done. I had them do a spring clean up of my large yard. They cleaned up all the leaves and downed trees/tree limbs from this past winter’s storm. I also had them fill a large hole w/dirt which they also seeded for me. The owner returned all of my calls promptly and work was done on time. I would hire them again as well as recommend them for any jobs you may have."

"Matt and his crew arrived at the scheduled time and started with the clean-up. My backyard is very shady, due to tall trees and high foot traffic preventing grass to grow in one area. Matt picked up the stones and river rocks that I had previously selected, and the men assembled the pathway in the pattern that I had specified. I love the new look. No more walking in mud!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Chlorine has a shelf life of between six months and several years, depending on its type and formulation. Liquid chlorine can often lose its effectiveness in just a few weeks. Pool owners can find themselves with overstock that they need to get rid of. The best way to dispose of excess chlorine is to take it to a hazardous waste collection site and let the pros handle it.

If lead is detected in a property, steps should include arranging for professional removal or containment, notifying all occupants, and implementing interim safety measures to reduce exposure.

While not all homes built before 1978 contain lead paint, enough do, so you’ll still want to test to be on the safe side. The federal government banned lead-based paint for homes in 1978, but your state may have banned lead before that time. Around 24% of homes built between 1960 and 1977 contained lead-based paint, while 87% of homes built before 1940 contained lead-based paint.

Professional lead removal involves identifying and safely removing or encapsulating lead-based paints and materials, using specialized equipment, and following strict safety procedures to minimize exposure and contamination.

The safest way to remove lead-based paint is by letting a professional take over. For most people, lead paint removal costs an average of $3,400. You should never attempt to dry sand old lead-based paint surfaces by hand. Most professionals use a paint stripper to do the job followed by wet scraping, but if you don’t want to remove lead paint, another option is to paint over it. Only consider this option if the old lead paint finish isn’t flaking or cracked.
