"We were initially Very happy with the work All-State Exteriors did on our roof this summer after some wind and rain damage caused leaking in our home. We experienced additional leakage after they had completed the roof and answered in a timely manner to repair the vents in our bathroom causing the leak. While initially doing the work on our roof, two of the guys asked to come in to look in our attic because they accidentally pulled out the roof jack, but we don't have an attic because it is a modular home and there is no access panel to the piping they accidentally pulled apart. They told us they were pretty sure they fixed it and we shouldn't have any issues. This should have been a red flag to us. As we enter the winter months, we turned on our furnace and it isn't working right.we call an HVAC company to come take a look and they verify there is nothing wrong with the furnace and ask if we had any roof work done recently. When we tell him we had, he looks at the roof jack and tells us that there are definitely issues with it and we should call the roofing company back to fix it as they should be insured against any damages they cause while working. We called a representative who we had worked with when we had the first issue after installation and he came out. He was here for approximately 20 minutes and told us it had to be with the piping and we would have to cut access to fix it and once the piping was fixed he would come out and replace the roof jack. My husband later that day cut an access point and nothing was wrong with the piping, this was confirmed by HVAC personel. My husband calls the same representative to let him know the piping is fine and the representative says he would be out Wednesday to fix the roof jack. It is Wednesday and by 1PM no one has came so, my husband calls the representative to confirm he was still coming out. This representative then says "Oh my manager forgot to call you let me have him reach out." When the manager calls my husband explained the situation and the manager asks "Why do you think that's our problem?". After more of a conversation as to why, the manager told my husband he would talk it over with the initial representative and call back. We are going on 4 days of using space heaters and no solution while the manager "talks it out with the workers because they are saying that didn't happen". Well, the manager called back and his solution was "If you buy a roof jack we will install it because my guy said that did not happen". My husband and I were both home when the installation was done and both know that there were 2 men looking to get in the attic because of accidentally pulling out the roof jack. I understand that you are roofers, but if you mess something up, fix it. Don't put that burden on your customer who trusted your company to do the work and not mess with anything else. I am highly disappointed in how this situation is being handled after a great first impression"

"Where to start? You never know what you're going to get when someone comes to your door and tells you they can do a storm assessment on your roof. Of course, before I committed to anything, I did my due diligence and looked up their reviews and I couldn't believe that a contracting company on Google received 4.9 stars! My fellow reviewers were spot on! From the very beginning, Quality Builders they took great care of our roof process from dealing with insurance, to the Solar Company, keeping me constantly updated and the process was so simple! My main point of contact on the project was Dave Shumate. Wow! What a gem of a contractor. He was in continuous communication, would even send holiday messages to us, which was above & beyond! They helped me through the insurance claim process, it was our first time making a claim on the house, and would help me with every question I had. Next, they had to schedule with the solar company for panel removal and reinstall, I barely had to speak to anyone with the solar company. Dave also came to a meeting with another guy who helped me pick out the shingle and drip edge colors. He made sure I knew exactly what to expect the day of our install and if I ever had a question (usually about solar) and he didn’t have the answer, he would immediately contact his company, get an answer and get back to me ASAP. When it was time to install the roof, I was floored by how many people they had here to complete the job. Dave of course was present and watching over everything for us. They arrived when they said they would and done by 5pm. They did an amazing job cleaning everything up, we never even found so much as a rouge nail left in the yard. We had some issues with the solar company when they arrived to reinstall our panels, from not finishing and returning a couple of days later to leaving our yard an absolute mess. Dave contacted the solar company to issue a complaint for us and was successful at getting the solar company to reimburse us some money. Due to the sloppy job they did on our yard, Dave even came back for a final roof inspection to make sure they didn’t leave the roof looking as bad. Unfortunately, they left a bunch of trash up on the roof too, but Dave took care of all of it. Would I recommend Quality Builders of Ohio for your next home project?! Absolutely, over and over!
