"Shawn was very professional, timely, and informative. He performed a thorough/comprehensive full house, radon, and termite inspection on my new construction home. The report was extremely helpful for negotiating with our builders. Shawn found problems that their inspector had not. He even made ergonomic recommendations. Shawn was very prompt too. We had our inspection report the same afternoon as our inspection. I also found that he was extremely reasonable price wise when compared to similar professional inspection companies. I definitely recommend that you use Eagle Eye Inspection services! Thank you Shawn!"

"I was very pleased with Kevin Leonard.  He was very thorough and I was really impressed that he was over detailed versus under detailed.  I appreciated having all that extra information that I wouldn't have expected.  I got him off Angie's List.  His price was very fair."

"John was very eager to work around my schedule. Although my husband and I arrived a little late for our scheduled time, he and his team of pros were already hard at work. He was very helpful and courteous. Because the seller had not left the garage unlocked the day of the inspection, John went back out on his own time a few days later to inspect the garage. He went above and beyond and I would definately recommend him to friends. Thanks!"

Radon Detection and Reduction questions, answered by experts

You'll need to test your home for radon after installing the mitigation system, then again every two years. If radon remains elevated, contact a licensed radon professional, either the contractor who installed the system or a different one, and have them evaluate the system. They may need to make some changes to improve its effectiveness and performance.

Yes, many systems include warranties for performance. Confirm terms with your installer.

The cost to replace a radon fan ranges from $300 to $600 for the fan itself, with installation adding an additional $200 to $500. Overall, the total cost for replacement can range from $500 to $1,100, depending on factors such as the fan model, home size, and local labor rates. If the fan is part of a larger radon mitigation system, the price may be higher.

Keeping radon from getting into your home is much better than having to get rid of it once it's already indoors. While there may not be a way to fully prevent radon from getting into your home, there are things you can do to reduce the gas's ability to enter.

Sealing foundation cracks and openings can help keep the gas from seeping inside. Improving air flow, such as by opening windows, can also be helpful. If you're building your home from scratch, talk to your contractor about using radon-resistant construction to keep the gas out.

Use a radon test kit or hire professionals to conduct a detailed assessment of radon levels in your home.
