"he was the only one to respond but he was very profesional and kind. I have had quotes from others and he is very reasonable. His task will begin in November with Fall cleanup but also will include tree trimming in Spring. I look forward to working with him."

"Excellent job. Consulted with me every step along the way. The team even picked up a stack of small branches and chipped them for me. Would definitely hire them again."

"Within several days of first speaking with Bruno, my yard looks amazing! He came out to see our property and I asked for estimates for working on various parts of our yard. Our beds were totally overgrown and we had decorative grasses, trees, bushes, etc. that needed trimming. He gave me ideas on how to proceed, and we walked to a neighbors' house that they had done work on to show some examples. In the end we decided to "recycle" some grasses/bushes and move them to places where they made more sense and I did not need to purchase any new plants. He gave me a price for all services, to which I agreed. They were out two days later, finished the job impeccably in 1/2 a day. Not only did they do a fantastic job, they helped me out by trimming/cleaning up some areas that obviously needed help, but I had not included in my list of things to do at that time. They left the yard looking beautiful and pristine, and hauled away all removed landscaping. He made sure that I saw what they had done and approved before they left and before I paid. I'm glad I used a local company, and would definitely recommend them to anyone. I feel confident that I'll be using them again as well, and am sorry I waited so long to do so!"

"Sean and his team are excellent, 100% recommend. They are communicative, accommodating, demonstrate a great deal of competency, knowledge and care, and they’re extremely efficient in their work. My entire two acre property needed major work: grading, excavating, landscaping etc and I’m thrilled with the project so far. More to come!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

The average lifespan of an oak tree is 100 to 300 years, so long as it isn’t impacted by diseases like sudden oak death. Some species will last shorter or longer, depending on where you live.

If a disease has attacked and destroyed the roots, then the tree may fall over as soon as it has died or while part of it is still alive. Trees that die with their roots left in place tend to stay standing for much longer, but those roots will decay eventually, allowing gravity to do the rest.

Talking with a septic pro before planting trees near your tank is best to ensure the roots won’t interfere with your septic system. However, there is an easy way to figure out where to plant a tree—but you’ll need to know how tall it can get when it’s fully grown. For instance, if the tree can reach 50 feet, plant it at least 50 feet from your septic system.

Consumers typically do not need to worry about the cost of tree insurance, as professional tree service companies pay for their own coverage. For a tree service business, an average U.S. policy covering about $1 million in general liability costs roughly $40 a month or $500 a year. More extensive policies, providing between $500,000 to $2 million in coverage, can cost between $3,000 and $6,000 annually, depending on the company's size and scope of work. Tree service professionals should speak with an insurance company to determine the right plan for their business.

The best time to prune Japanese flowering cherry trees depends on where you live and the type of flowering cherry tree. Some trees benefit from being pruned toward the end of winter or early spring, after the last freeze. Meanwhile, other trees do well after blooming, in late spring or early summer. Avoid pruning your flowering cherry tree in the early winter, as this encourages open wounds that can lead to infections or infestations.
