"Ryan is very knowledgeable about what his company can/will do and has a great way of communicating with clients as well. I will be having The Energy Savers install insulation and siding on this project. I can honestly say that Ryan has already gone the extra mile and I won’t hesitate to call him again for future projects."

"I just had my insulation installed two days ago and so far I’ve noticed a big difference. I hate to say it, but I’m almost looking forward to it getting a little colder so I can really determine the difference. The installers that came to my home were very professional and friendly. They took pictures and they were finished and explained what they did. They even informed me of an issue with my furnace intake pipe, which I really appreciated. I will update my review or place a new review in about six months to see how much I’m actually saving on my energy bills."

"What we thought was going to be a simple repair to our exterior trim, turned out to be a way bigger job than we expected. When Sherron Brown pulled off the trim piece, he found water behind our siding and black rotting plywood. He and his crew explained everything and what would be needed to fix it, and rather than scheduling a new time to come out, fixed it all in one day. They did a great job, fixed everything correctly, and were super friendly while doing it. I would gladly hire them again."

"The EnerSol team, Jayvon and Paul added insulation to our attic and performed work in the crawl space. These team members were extremely polite and highly knowledgeable of their tasks. They worked together well and provided quality service. We highly recommend EnerSol and these two team members."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

The most affordable way to insulate behind unfinished walls is to install fiberglass batts or rolls. These total around $0.75 per linear foot, with the width matching the gaps between standard studs perfectly. However, it’s important to consider the R-value of your insulation and the climate in your area, as fiberglass insulation isn’t the best in terms of preventing heat transfer. Plus, the most affordable option may cost more on electricity bills over time. The most affordable way to insulate behind finished walls is to leave them up and use blown-in insulation to avoid drywall replacement.

When doing any type of project involving mold, it's important to wear the right protective gear. You'll want an N-95 or KN-95 mask to keep yourself from inhaling mold spores, which can be irritating or trigger an allergic reaction in people with weakened immune systems. You'll also want to wear protective eyewear and gloves to limit your contact with mold.

Yes, you need a 1.5-inch to 2-inch air gap in a cathedral ceiling to allow proper air flow and prevent cathedral ceiling venting problems. This amount of airspace allows warm, moist air to properly leave your ceiling to avoid moisture build-up and other issues that put your home at risk. You can also add an air vent for extra air flow.

Installing insulation helps reduce energy usage, improve home comfort, and lower utility bills by maintaining stable indoor temperatures year-round.

Because of the moisture concern, open-cell foam requires a vapor barrier. The barrier protects against high humidity and moisture exposure in rooms such as basements, bathrooms, or exterior walls. It wouldn't be necessary in dry interior spaces.
