"Absolute WORST experience I’ve ever had with a company! They are extremely predatory and convinced my 63 year old mother that she had to sign the contract THAT DAY, and she didn’t even understand what she was signing! The first day they were scheduled to do the job, they showed up hours late, and said they “weren’t the right crew to do the job”. We then had to wait a couple weeks for a different crew to come, and when they came they said they weren’t the right crew to do the job either!! 2 weeks later, ANOTHER crew came and said THE SAME EXACT THING!!! So after 3 times of getting the runaround, I was completely FED UP with this horrible company and decided to cancel the contract. They FINALLY did let me cancel, but are demanding we still pay $600! After all they put us through over 3+ months, they had the nerve to charge us $600 for an outlet! PLEASE AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! All they care about is dollar signs, not about the QUALITY of their work or customer service."

"In February 2024 my Mother-in-laws furnace went out. Long story short.... Tinman was the company that could get there the fastest so we went with them. It cost 2500.00 for repairs. In April it went out again. Another 2500.00 in repairs. My husband purchased their platinum plan to cover future maintenance and repairs. My mother-in-law passed away May 2nd 2024 so we are selling her house. We accepted an offer and due to the inspection of the furnace the buyer backed out. Apparently the heat exchanger has 2 cracks in it and now they want us to pay them 7000.00 to replace the whole furnace. We have consulted with 3 other companies and our attorney. We were told no way should it cost 7000.00 and we were being taken for a ride. The fact that they repaired it twice at high cost and are NOW telling us it's junk is just ridiculous. Needless to say we will NOT be giving them anymore money or doing anymore business with them. Being 5000.00 in and losing the sale of the house is all quite enough. Just beware people."

Gas Leak Repair questions, answered by experts

All U.S. states require permits for gas grill installation, so you’ll have to get one before you move forward with your project. Permits help ensure that the gas line runs safely to avoid gas leaks and explosions. Gas line permits can usually also only be pulled by certified plumbers, which means you’ll have to hire a professional from the start. The permit for a gas line installation for a gas grill usually costs between $100 and $300. You can contact your installation company or building department for more accurate pricing.

Renovation projects that require moving a gas-powered appliance may also require moving the gas line that supplies it. The cost to move a gas line falls between $375 and $750 and will depend on how far the line needs to be moved, the cost of the permits, and how much excavation is needed, along with other factors.

Some people don’t like the look of gas fireplaces since they don’t offer the classic charm or appeal of a wood-burning fire. Plus, gas fireplace installation is more expensive than other types of fireplace installations due to the added complexity of working with gas lines. There’s also a chance that gas could get into your home, which is a major health and safety risk.

This is a matter of personal preference, as each method has its own pros and cons. Oil furnaces are safer, but the smell can be off-putting to some consumers. Oil is also more expensive than gas. However, oil furnaces boast a higher BTU rate per hour, so a smaller amount of oil can heat a larger space when compared to a gas furnace.

Modern gas fireplaces are relatively efficient and don't burn excessive amounts of gas, especially compared to older models. A gas fireplace might use between 10,000 to 40,000 BTUs per hour; the total amount of gas used depends on the fireplace's size, heat output, and how often it's in use. To help keep your running costs down, consider using a thermostat and turning off the fireplace when not needed to minimize gas consumption
