"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

"Paul King of King Heating and Cooling recently installed a new AC system in the Clubhouse of our Condo Association. The work was done in a timely and professional manner and was right on budget. Our Board of Trustees is very pleased with the work and with Mr. King's response time. Mr. King also was good enough to check out my personal AC unit at my condo and, for a very reasonable price, was able to improve the unit's efficiency and cooling output. I will definitely contact King Heating and Cooling when I need to upgrade my system."

A part needed to be ordered, so the repair was performed the day after Jones Heating and Air received the part. Everything is back working as it should be. Tech showed up when expected and he did the work efficiently."

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

Whether you need a team of highly skilled Bowling Green heating and cooling specialists in your home to perform routine maintenance on your home comfort system, you need general repairs, or you are looking to do a full replacement on your system, you want to call in the best. In this area, that means calling Tin Man Heating & Cooling. Their company is proud to offer decades of experience in the industry backed by an A+ Better Business Bureau accreditation and work that is 100% satisfaction guaranteed. They are also northwest Ohio’s largest geothermal installer and have advanced training in the installation and maintenance of these systems. No matter how large or small your needs may be, this is the team you want to get the job done. Call their offices today to get started with an initial estimate.

"In February 2024 my Mother-in-laws furnace went out. Long story short.... Tinman was the company that could get there the fastest so we went with them. It cost 2500.00 for repairs. In April it went out again. Another 2500.00 in repairs. My husband purchased their platinum plan to cover future maintenance and repairs. My mother-in-law passed away May 2nd 2024 so we are selling her house. We accepted an offer and due to the inspection of the furnace the buyer backed out. Apparently the heat exchanger has 2 cracks in it and now they want us to pay them 7000.00 to replace the whole furnace. We have consulted with 3 other companies and our attorney. We were told no way should it cost 7000.00 and we were being taken for a ride. The fact that they repaired it twice at high cost and are NOW telling us it's junk is just ridiculous. Needless to say we will NOT be giving them anymore money or doing anymore business with them. Being 5000.00 in and losing the sale of the house is all quite enough. Just beware people."

"You should probably add 4-6 weeks to the expected delivery date if you expect to need the "enclosed" hardware. I received the blinds in the estimated time, but it came without the required hardware. I have made 4 calls (at least) over several weeks, but the hardware is nowhere in site. It is clear that SelectBlinds.com is a marketing company only has outsourced all production and fulfillment to third parties and evidently has a difficult time coordinating these type of customer service issue. Extremely frustrating that my blinds have been sitting in the floor for over a month and all I need is a few screws. Happy to go to Home Depot to get the screws, but SelectBlinds can't even tell me what sizes I need."

NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification is not legally required for HVAC technicians in most areas, but hiring a professional with this certification is highly recommended. NATE-certified technicians demonstrated their expertise and proficiency in different types of HVAC systems, offering assurance of quality service. It's a voluntary certification, yet it indicates a commitment to professionalism and ongoing training. Choosing a NATE-certified technician often means you're working with someone who is up-to-date on industry standards and best practices, which can lead to better service, energy efficiency, and long-term cost savings.

While Freon is mostly odorless, a Freon leak will produce a faint chloroform-like smell. Some people find that Freon's odor has a subtle sweetness to it. Some telltale signs of a Freon leak beyond odor include ice crystals on your evaporator coil, bubbling sounds, and hissing noises.

AC capacitors typically last for a long time and many last for the life of the air conditioning unit. You can expect to get about 20 years out of an AC capacitor. When an AC capacitor suffers an untimely death, it’s usually due to overheating, a power surge, or a short circuit. You can prevent these events from happening and extend the life of an AC capacitor by getting regular AC maintenance every year.

It’s critical to use the right size AC for your space and not go too small or too big. If you purchase an undersized unit, it won’t properly cool your house, and it has to work harder to reach the optimal temperature. This will eventually wear your unit out. An oversized unit can spell trouble because it will turn off and on more frequently, which also wears out your AC unit. An oversized unit also causes humidity in the home.

No, it’s not normal for AC vents to drip condensation. A sweating AC vent is a sign of something wrong and can lead to issues like air duct rust or mold growth. Your HVAC unit might not be working efficiently because of a dirty filter or clogged ducts. Alternatively, your ductwork might not have adequate insulation, which allows the cool air in the ducts to meet the humid air outside, causing condensation.
