"Amazing!!! Matt and his crew were incredible from the beginning of the process till the end. This was a huge job and they spent two weeks at my home moving and replacing 4 older HVAC units to make room for my deck. The work was flawless and the guys were courteous and respectful throughout the job. I have been renovating various parts of my home for a few years and in all that time have never come across a better contractor than MAP. I have recommended them to everyone I know and if I ever have another project they can complete they will be my first and last call. 100% would recommend to anyone looking to have some HVAC work done."

"The crew were great and worked some long hours to complete the job in two days. They accomplished a lot of work in a brief period of time, and cleaned up everything once they were finished. They surpassed our expectations and we'd recommend them without reservation!"

"The project went very well. I met with John a couple of times for design planning and measurements before the work started. This was the first time that I had been involved in a renovation/remodel and John was great with regard to answering questions, evaluating feasibility of what I wanted to do, suggesting alternatives and providing an excellent contact for design and selection of kitchen and bathroom cabinets, counters and fixtures. Once the work started, things progressed quickly and everything was done within the estimated timeline. The condo is in a high-rise and the building staff and neighbors were very complementary of the Desborough Construction team and their courtesy. Even though the condo was not occupied, it was left neat, clean and tidy at the end of the work day, as were the building’s common areas. John’s professionalism, organization and efficiency were exceptional. Communication was also excellent throughout. The remodel coincided with a busy time at work for me, but John’s flexibility in communicating by text and email, and leaving samples and notes for me to make selections later in the evening when I was more available kept the project on track, and allowed me to have direct input in all major decisions without causing delays. When we got towards the end of the project and the final details phase, John accommodated my limited availability for in-person meetings and walk-throughs, which I really appreciated. The quality of the work that John, Nate and Rob did is outstanding, and they clearly took a great deal of pride in it. John and Nate also made some excellent design and finishing suggestions that turned out great. The tile work, painting, custom closets, cabinet and fixture installation were all done beautifully and finished with nice attention to detail. I tend to notice little flaws (yes, I’m picky); there were very few to point out and anything that I did notice was addressed to my satisfaction and beyond. The work done by the electrical and plumbing subcontractors was also excellent. It was a big project, but the scope of work and costs were clearly explained in the estimates prior to starting the work. There was also ongoing communication when any changes were made, so there were no surprises. I got excellent value for what I paid, and it was well worth it for the quality of work and customer service that I received. I appreciate all the hard work that the team put in, and am very happy with how the space turned out. In summary, I had an exceptionally good experience with Desborough Construction and recommend them very highly. They are a busy group, but worth the wait to schedule in your job. If the occasion arises, it would be a pleasure to work with them again, and I would do it without hesitation."

"Technician Matt Steiner was very professional and explained each step in the process. He provided a thorough summary of the AC tune up. I would recommend using Sal's Heating and AC and will be using them for all future service work. I grade them an A+."

"Moisture in basement.  After multiple consultations with Andy and Ben as to possible causes, decision made to jet and examine downspouts from house to street.  Found one broken downspout line beside the house which was excavated and replaced, and two drains which were blocked with debris and roots, both of which were cleared.  Ben head up the project.  Efficiently and professionally accomplished.  Would be delighted to work with Ben and his colleagues again."

"Family run business. Pride of ownership is reflected in their work. I was taken by another company. When they took my lightning rods down to get a new roof, they basically shredded my cable. Also the screws that were used by the previous installer were not correct. William pointed out the issues and worked out a fair price. I was given new lightning rods too! Oh and I received a weather vane. Here it is storming and lightning today and I feel very safe. So glad to have worked with this company!"

Small jobs welcome

"The entire process from Quote to Installation was very thorough and seamless. Ryan went over the installation process in detail and answered all questions. The install went great as well. He was very considerate. He made sure that he wore protective feet coverings as well as a mask. He went over all the work that he performed and cleaned up all debris from the job. I really appreciate the up front pricing that is thoroughly outlined in his work manual. I would definitely use this company again."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Balancing aesthetics with functionality amidst space planning is important. To do so, you could consider consulting both an interior designer and an architect to fulfill both these needs. Or you can tackle it on your own by prioritizing personal touches amidst space planning that add to the look but don't take away from the livability of the space.

An architect is usually involved in the process of determining the layout and structural features and requirements of the home itself, taking into account the local codes, climate, and materials needed to make the home structurally sound. Architects may communicate more with contractors and subcontractors throughout the building process. In comparison to architects, interior designers typically focus on the aesthetics of a home interior and possibly exterior, helping the homeowner decide on color schemes, textures, and materials to incorporate into the design.

While concrete walls do not need to "breathe" in the traditional sense of the word, they do require waterproofing and dehumidifying methods, particularly in basements below the water table. Concrete both contains moisture from its initial installation and can absorb water when exposed. Ensuring proper basement ventilation , installing a vapor barrier, and controlling water exposure are all important tasks.

Yes, professionals will offer tailored solutions to fit architectural and personal style preferences.

New constructions, renovations, and interior layouts benefit from expert drafting.
