"Work was done quickly and was both excellent and affordable. I was in the process of selling the house and needed to ensure the garage and front gutter were fixed quickly but also well done. Bob and team was responsive and did an excellent job. Would highly recommend this team!"

"The whole process went great from the time that I called John to come for an estimate through completion of the job.   He always called back immediately and was always on time which is very important to me when dealing with anyone.  When John came to look it over and give me the estimate, he also gave me lots of pointers on how to deal with preventing the wetness coming into my basement and how to check if my downspout drains are working before putting the new downspouts into them.  The morning the crew came to start the roof, they showed up on time and got immediately to work with ripping the shingles off and the new roof was in place by around 3:30 that afternoon and the guys were there putting the gutters on the house.  Everything was completed and cleaned up by about 5:00.  The whole crew works very efficiently, gets the job done, everything looks great and I couldn't be happier with all of it..  I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

"Very good.  Quick service.  He did have to return to complete a section.   He returned promptly.  We cooperated together easily.  The service was something I had wanted to do and was glad that this was promoted on Angie's site for me to purchase.

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

How long it takes to build an in-law suite will vary by type. The time it takes to build an addition will typically be less than for completely new construction. Expect to spend about two months if you convert a basement, attic, or other existing room in your home. New structures can take up to five months, plus up to two months to receive the required permits.

Universal design costs can be minimal when you add them during construction; however, adding universal design principles to existing homes can sometimes increase renovation costs. For example, a mid-grade bathroom remodel is estimated to cost around $30,000, while a standard universal design remodel can cost closer to $40,000. Adding accessible design components can include widening hallways ($500 to $2,000), curbless showers ($2,000 to $8,000), and widening doors ($400 to $800). Keep in mind that these increased costs can lead to higher resale values because universal homes may appeal to a wider variety of buyers.

Universal design is a design concept that states that products, spaces, and general environments are designed to be used by everyone, with an emphasis on accessibility for those with limited mobility or other special needs.

Blueprints are generally available for houses built after the early 1900s. Before then, detailed building schematics like blueprints were rarely used and even more rarely saved. If you have an older house and need blueprints, you can have a new set drawn up by an architect or draftsperson.

Balancing aesthetics with functionality amidst space planning is important. To do so, you could consider consulting both an interior designer and an architect to fulfill both these needs. Or you can tackle it on your own by prioritizing personal touches amidst space planning that add to the look but don't take away from the livability of the space.
