"We were really impressed with Ryan R. and Bryan K. We needed our concrete patio cracks repaired, even, and leveled. They did an outstanding job! Very professional and explained everything to us in detail and asked if we had any questions prior to starting the work. Cleaned up any mess as they were working and after they finished. I highly recommend these two individuals to do any type of concrete work you need done! Thank you Ryan R. and Bryan K. Mike & Donna Shirey"

"Chris always returned the calls in timely manner. Concrete projects usually need waiting based on company's book-of-work and weather. Therefore, Chris proactively called me every two weeks to update me the latest, after he told me in Mar that my project probably be on in May. The price is very reasonable. Plus, I like the way of pricing - the qoute is lump-sum and no additional charge for 'trivials' during the project. When the project began, we found the steps of side door need to be removed and re-made. Chris did not charge me additionally for the new steps."

"Tim and his father did a great job replacing a couple squares of sidewalk at our home that were done improperly by a different contractor. They got me an estimate and fit me in their schedule quickly, all while doing the work the right way at a fair cost. I would definitely ask them to do additional work in the future and recommend them if you need concrete or masonry work as well. They are also licensed in Columbus and insured. Before hiring any vendor to do work at your home, I highly recommend you verify both of those things. I came across a number of other concrete vendors who did not have either or both of those documents and some were less than forthcoming about it."

"Ron came by on a Sunday afternoon to give us a quote for the work. As we discussed our ideas, he was extremely helpful with design suggestions that assisted in our envisioning the finished product as well as recommending complimentary colors that matched the stone and stain on our home. Because of the weather, we did not begin the work until Ron felt it was safe to be able to pour. His team came in the week before to remove the deck. They took care as to not damage the cedar siding on our home as well as ensure that power, phone and cable lines were not disrupted. They hauled away all of the wood from the deck so we did not have to worry about what to do with it. The following week Ron and his team came in and laid out the form of the patio and walkway. Ron was very receptive to some minor changes we wanted. Ron was quite creative while designing the step from the house to the patio and we now have a very dramatic landing rather than a short step. The step and walkway to the secondary garage were poured the first day and then the rear patio was poured the second day. It was quite exciting to see how this process worked as well as our patio be created in real time. The next day, Ron removed the front patio and walkway. Ron discussed a design plan for this new patio and walkway that would ensure we would no longer have standing water in this area. It also encompassed raising the patio and walkway so that we no longer had to have a step to get into the front door. The following week this area was poured, cleaned and sealed. RECOMMENDATION! If it were possible to give Ron something higher than an A on this webpage, he would get an A++! Our new patios and walkways are breathtaking! Everyone is coming by to see how beautiful it looks. Ron and his team are amazing to watch. They are all on the same wavelength and know what the other needs while working with concrete. We had a big job in that we didn't want to loose any of the space that our previous deck and patio encompassed and our best guess was that we saw 3 cement trucks while we were home...that is A LOT of concrete! All of this was accomplished with minimal damage to the lawn. He and his team are the most polite and professional contractors we have ever dealt with. Ron is a perfectionist and it shows in his work ethic, quality and most importantly in his personal interaction with his customers."

"I recently removed a wall in our house and called RJE General Construction to quote the job of patching the ceiling and existing wall. They came out the same day and gave us a quote that was lower than expected, and significantly lower than another quote I received. My wife and I are extremely happy with the work that was completed. The wall is ready to paint, and they textured the ceiling after they patched it. They used a drop cloth to protect the floors, and swept everything up with a broom and vacuum. The work was incredible, the worker was nice and considerate, and I would highly recommend this company."

Concrete Leveling questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking is usually reserved for light-duty slabs, like patios, driveways, and sidewalks. However, it can be an effective way to lift garage slabs and concrete around the perimeter of the home, which could harm your foundation if it’s not done properly. The risk of damage is why having a professional mudjacking company carry out the work is important. This type of slab or foundation repair is relatively inexpensive, especially if you consider that a DIY job requires that you pay to rent the necessary equipment.

Concrete leveling is not typically covered by insurance. In some cases where the shifting concrete is caused by a natural disaster or storm, you may be able to file an insurance claim if your policy specifically covers those circumstances. In most cases, though, you’ll pay out-of-pocket for concrete leveling.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.

The method involves lifting settled concrete using pressurized cement slurry via drilled holes. This solves uneven surfaces and prevents further settling.

Many contractors offer warranties for their work. Confirm terms before starting the project.
