"Power Tree Removal removed my yard tree, which was infringing on 3 of my neighbors yards. It was a mulberry which stood about 2 stories high. They did it safely and efficiently. The crew were well supervised and all extremely diligent. I gave a few instructions to Alex and Sammy, and I didn't need to tell them twice. I even hugged Davey at the end. Power Tree was communicative, timely, respectful and hard working. All the boxes you would want checked when hiring a contractor, they check. One of my best experiences in hiring a contractor. I highly recommend."

Customers say: True professional

"Francisco was very fast in his response to my initial query. He came right on time and did exactly what I asked - removed a dead tree from the pot and replanted with another plant, as well as a few other things around the yard. Very pleased."

"Service was outstanding! I had a pine tree removed from my front yard a couple months ago, only took them a few hours to finish the job. They even helped clean the mess left behind on the driveway. Their prices are very reasonable and affordable, definitely recommend!"

"Excellent and efficient team. JC Trees came and gave an estimate and were ready to do the job the next Day. I had to wait til the next week because i was going out of town, but my job was done when I came back and within a week of me posting on Home Advisor. And, it was not an easy job - i wish I took a video. Iâ m still waiting for Urban Arborists to call me back to schedule an estimate appointment! Forget them. Go with JC Trees!"

"This is a great company. They gave a reasonable quote. They showed up early. Everyone was professional. The only thing I would recommend is that Jose keep working on speaking English. I was not convinced that he understood the nuances of our conversation. I would highly recommend this company. Great work, they were not on time but EARLY which is a BIG plus, professional staff. I will use them going forward and also recommend this company to my friends."

"This crew is amazing!  My uncle needed to have a tree removed from our
backyard... I'm talking HUGE with many of the biggest limbs leaning over
our neighbors house.  He came over right away and gave a reasonably
priced quote.  I discussed it with my uncle and decided to go ahead and
use his services.  He removed this tree in two days, even with it being
some of the hottest days its been in a while!  His whole crew was
extremely kind and they made sure to clean up very carefully after they
were done. They even took a look at my broken car when they
noticed me filling my radiator with water!  We were thrilled with the
services this crew gave us and would recommend them to anyone.

"The two man crew ensured, through communications with company management and with the homeowners, that they understood the job. Clean up was excellent. Price was very fair considering the time spent, initially, by the Arborist and by the two man crew."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

You can use a chainsaw, but it won’t remove the entire stump or root ball and is not a recommended method. It takes quite a bit of physical work to achieve and will likely dull or ruin your chainsaw. Instead, consider using salt, herbicide, light deprivation, boiling water, stump grinding, or burning to kill a tree stump. These methods allow you to kill a stump using minimal machinery and physical exertion.

Generally, homeowners do not need permission to cut down a tree on their own private property, but there are several exceptions where a permit may be required. You might need a permit if the tree is particularly large, old, or a protected species, such as a heritage tree. Trees located near public property or power lines can also be subject to special rules. Additionally, many local governments and homeowners associations (HOAs) have regulations controlling which trees can be removed to manage an area's appearance or prevent the spread of invasive species. To avoid hefty fines, it is crucial to check with your local government and HOA to determine if a permit is needed before you begin.

Absolutely. These steps are significantly easier, too, especially when it comes to preserving the root ball and moving the palm tree. However, you will want to make sure the tree has plenty of fertilizer to establish itself and start growing. Supports may also be more important, as it can take extra time for a potted palm to spread out its roots. If you are transferring a palm to another pot, you’ll want to move up a size or two to a larger pot. Make sure the pot has excellent drainage to keep the palm from getting waterlogged.

The cost of professional tree service, such as trimming, is $460 on average, but the price can range from $75 to $1,800. A more typical range is between $200 and $760. The final price depends on several factors, including the size and type of the tree. For example, trimming Crepe Myrtle trees costs an average of $80 to $400, while giant pine trees can range from $200 to $1,800. Other factors that influence the cost include the time of year, as services are often more expensive in the spring. Your location can also play a role; costs may be higher if you live in a remote area or if the tree is difficult to access. However, some professionals may offer a discount if you have multiple trees that need service.

Palm tree stumps can take as long as seven to ten years to rot naturally. Whereas some tree stumps rot within a year, palm trees tend to last longer due to their deep root networks. Chemical rotting (described above) can help speed the process up so your palm tree stumps rot in under two months.
