Small jobs welcome

"I hired Abigail and Robbie for a small project redesigning my home office and it's easily been one of the best decisions I've made for myself in recent years. I worked primarily with Abigail - especially during the ideation phase. She is sweet, understanding, and full of brilliant ideas (and she keeps to the budget). Even from our first meeting she gave the impression the office would turn out even better than I'd hope. I wasn't wrong! Robbie (who worked with Abigail to put it all together near the end of the project) is super cool and charming, and he knows his stuff! Both have excellent craftsmanship. What was once a room I dreaded entering at the start of my workday and couldn't wait to leave at the end of it has turned into a space I actively look forward to being in. This room now feels warm, inviting, cozy, and comforting. I wish I had taken some before photos! My wife and I will for sure look to work with Gil Mill Homes on future projects. Go hire them now!"

"Sal Cuciti was absolutely outstanding! From start to finish, he was professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and incredibly easy to work with. His expertise as an architect was evident throughout the entire process. He took the time to carefully review every detail, provided valuable insight, and explained everything clearly and in a way that was easy to understand. Sal was responsive, patient, and always willing to answer my questions. His attention to detail, experience, and commitment to his clients truly stood out. He made the entire process feel smooth and gave me complete confidence that I was in excellent hands. If you’re looking for an architect who is knowledgeable, professional, trustworthy, and genuinely cares about his clients, I highly recommend Sal Cuciti. He exceeded my expectations, and I would gladly recommend him to anyone looking for exceptional architectural expertise and service."

Architects questions, answered by experts

The country's most famous Neoclassical architecture appears in major government buildings and college campuses. The White House is unmistakably the most famous example, though the Capitol Building and Thomas Jefferson's Monticello are also iconic uses of the design.

A floor plan is a less detailed illustration showing a building or room's layout from above, including elements like windows, doors, walls, and fixtures. It offers a simplified view for homeowners. In contrast, a blueprint is a more detailed, to-scale architectural drawing that includes all parts of the building plans, such as structural elements, construction details, and utility schematics. While a floor plan can be a type of view within a blueprint, the complete blueprint contains all the necessary details to turn the plan into a reality.

Some homes, like those with flat roofs, may not have eaves at all. Some contemporary-style homes also lack eaves, although many may have abbreviated eaves to divert water and protect the walls and foundation. Homes without eaves often have specific types of gutters affixed directly to the edge of the roof to provide adequate drainage.

The biggest upside to hiring an architect is that they will ensure an efficient building process without errors. They will also ensure your home is free from structural issues and that everything is up to building code. Many permitting agencies require architects to draw construction plans and layouts before working, so hiring an architect will also ensure your project is legal. Additionally, architects help homeowners have a clear idea of their project details before the project starts. Hence, they help unify all parties on a shared vision for the project.

Yes, designers collaborate with contractors and engineers to ensure a smooth construction process.
