"This is the second time that Tom from Areti has come to help us with appliance installation and, on this visit, replacing a cast iron sink. It was a difficult job because of how the initial installation had been made when the house was built, but Tom figured out how to get the job done effectively efficiently. Couldn't be happier with how the job turned out!"

"Needed a hot water heater quick! They got me setup and installed in the same day. Price was fair. The person who answered the phone was very nice and had pricing up front. Other companies didn't want to give a price, and wanted to charge a service charge to come out and give you a quote that they could have given over the phone. Plumber (Edwin) was very good, installed/cleaned/informed me of everything he was doing."

"Neverwet truly stands by their lifetime transferable warranty! I purchased my home last summer. The previous owners had installed the Neverwet basement system. This winter I experienced drainage issues in my front yard. I called Neverwet and spoke with Michele who was very pleasant and understanding. Kevin, one of the owners promptly came over to evaluate the situation. He determined the drain line from the sump pump needed to be extended and connected to the storm sewer. Kevin obtained the necessary permits from the Village and his crew (Jordan and Stirlling perform the work at no additional cost. I am very appreciative of the quick response and excellent customer service from start to finish of the project. I highly recommend NeverWet. They stand behind their warranty and do quality work. You will not be disappointed. Thank you NeverWet."

Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on pump type, labor rates, and the extent of repairs or installation needs.

Start by calling a plumber if you want to install a sump pump battery backup. Talk to them about your situation and needs. Sometimes, electricians or waterproofing contractors will install a battery backup, and in that case, the plumber you call should be able to point you in the right direction.

Sump pumps remove excess water from the lowest point of your home, which prevents flooding. When a sump pit fills with water, a sump pump pushes that water outside of the basin and into an exterior discharge pipe. From there, the water flows away from your home, so it doesn’t damage your foundation.

There are several indicators that your washing machine’s drain pump is bad, including incomplete cycles, water not draining, lack of spinning, a foul odor when the machine is running, and a loud grinding or buzzing noise when the pump is trying to move water down the drain.

Yes, it’s normal (and beneficial) to have a small amount of water in the bottom of your sump pit. It shows that your system is collecting groundwater, rain, and excess water from around your property—just like it’s supposed to. However, if the sump pit is always full, you might have a leak or a faulty sump pump.
