"Edwin is the best! He arrived quickly to evaluate my large tree which needed to come down and in a few days it was done while I was out of town. After the ice storm there were a few other limbs which needed to be taken down and he is coming back in a couple days to get that done. He is professional and his price was very good for the work he did. I would definitely hire him again."

"Brandon and his crew are fantastic - friendly, professional, reliable. They removed 4 trees, ground the stumps, and trimmed up 3 others that we wanted to keep but needed the dead wood removed. Their level of communication is refreshing and they did a great job cleaning up. Competitively priced on top of it. Would recommend every time. Our new go-to tree guys! Thank you!"

Customers say: True professional

"Couldn’t be happier. Mike and Vinny were a pleasure to work with. Quality of work was great, professional, fair pricing but most of all great customer service. I was just looking for some edging and mulching and he went above and beyond and trimmed my bushes, took care of some shrubs that were dying and cleaned them up to give them a better chance of recovering and had some left over mulch so he did a small strip I had infront of my fence at no extra charge. Would highly recommend."

"Absolutely fabulous! I had an overgrown lawn about 3ft high and they didn’t even blink! Just said no problem! They were also the only people I called that actually answered their phone.& I didn’t have to leave a msg with a computer prompt that kept cutting me off. They even came to ck out the job first. It was a huge job and they are miracle workers. I will be utilizing their services for years to come. 10 stars! Definitely recommend them."

"I had a stump ground down and needed the area cleaned up afterward, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. Bryan was quick to respond, communicated clearly throughout the entire process, and showed up exactly when he said he would. The job was done quickly and efficiently, and he was very friendly and professional the whole time. Everything was cleaned up great afterward. I would absolutely recommend him to others and would definitely hire him again in the future!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Tree roots are hearty and complex systems, so they don’t die immediately after the rest of the tree is removed. If you leave the root system in place, it takes anywhere from two to seven years for it to run out of nutrients. It is worth noting, however, that the roots stop growing and expanding after cutting down the rest of the tree.

The best way is to start controlling tree height long before it grows too large, via careful pruning through the years. But that’s not always possible. If a tree has become too high or too large, use selective pruning to remove the most troublesome branches, one by one, without topping the tree. Gently shaping a tree like this can, over time, correct problems. You can also find growth inhibitors to spray on a tree to stop it from growing too rapidly, but use these sparingly if at all.

No, you cannot throw branches from your neighbor’s tree back into their yard, nor can you discard leaves or other plant matter that originated from their yard back over there if it happens to land in your yard. You are responsible for cleaning up plant matter that made its way into your yard.

Some trees will bounce back just fine, and others will struggle and possibly die. Evergreens, for instance, have a very difficult time recovering after droughts and usually die after periods of extreme dryness. Usually, you’ll have to just wait and see—if the drought occurs in wintertime, it’s possible that your tree will recover during the gentler springtime.

You can shape a cherry tree by trimming vertical branches, dense branches, and intersecting branches. Your personal aesthetic comes into play, as well. If you want to simply thin and shape the tree, you can get away with trimming the aforementioned parts of your cherry tree. If you want to shorten branches, however, consider thinning cuts, which alter the length of the branches while encouraging light penetration, new buds and shoots, and a structurally-sound shape.
