A-1 Treeworks

These guys set the standards of tree removal for everyone else. They are fast, clean and professional. The job was priced very reasonably. The giant crane and massive chipper used in combination is astonishing to watch. As an arborist, Martin is extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Call these guys first, don't waste your time calling anyone else.

Everything went very smoothly. The entire team worked very efficiently and kept everything very clean. I was very happy with the entire process, especially working with Martin.

Incredibly, they were so efficient and professional. A tree never even hit the ground with the crane system that they use.

From the first meeting in which Martin, the owner, met with me to provide an estimate of the costs, he was very helpful in providing suggestions which helped me plan what I needed to do. He guaranteed the costs and told me he would call to schedule the work if i agreed.  I agreed with his estimate because I had already gotten other estimates which were slightly higher. But the main reason i agreed to use A-! Treeworks was because of his suggestions and explanations which made more sense than all others.
I explained that I needed this done as soon as possible and within two weeks he fit me into his schedule and the team of six men lead by a 20-year veteran tree trimmer, showed up and did the job within a few hours leaving everything clean.  I was very happy with the service.  I recommended his service to a neighbor and he also had excellent results.
I hate taking down trees, but if I need tree trimming or trees taken down in the future, A-1 Treeworks will be the company i call.

After agreeing to the estimate, I hadn't heard from Martin so I contacted him for an exact date to schedule the work.   He was available the next workday (a Monday), and scheduled the work for the morning.  However, on Sunday evening he called me to explain that they would be delayed until mid-day Monday due to an emergency.  That was fine with me and they showed up right on time.  It was a brutally hot and humid day, so we agreed to just get some of the tree trimming accomplished on Monday and they would return early the next morning to complete the work.  Martin estimated that they would be done in an hour.  Frankly, I didn't beleive that all the work required could possibly be done that fast -- but I was wrong!

They arrived by 7am and immediately got started.  The work involved getting a crane down my narrow driveway to remove the two trees from my backyard. I really appreciated that the crew (who were very professional throughout) were very careful to not damage the driveway or my fence.  They laid down wood planking where necessary to steady the crane and got started on the back hedge and the two trees.  While they were setting up to remove the first tree, I went inside the house to take some medicine and have a quick, light breakfast.  By the time I returned to watch them do their work (no more than 3 minutes), they had already removed the first tree and were guiding it thru their wood chipper!  Amazing.

I then watched the entire process for the removal of the second tree and was quite impressed with the entire crew's precision and coordination.  There was no "down" time for anyone.  While a few were trimming the hedge, others were hauling away the debris to the wood chipper which was operated by others in the crew.  Still others were cleaning up any residue/debris left behind.  All-in-all, in about one hour the work was done.  Except for the missing tree and the much, much lower hedge that remained, you'd never guess that they were ever there.

The icing on the cake is that the final price was slightly LESS than estimated.  Great job overall!

A verbal price was agreed to with Martin of A-1 Tree Service. After numerous attempts to secure a date for the service, he finally was able to lock in a date in January of this year. There was some concern because of Martin's tardiness in returning my voice mails initially, but once we set the date, he and his crew were there bright and early on that very cold day in January. They navigated their trucks and equipment down our narrow road during a short intense snow squall that had me concerned but fortunately the weather improved and work commenced.
It was a difficult job which entailed hoisting the sections of the tree by crane up the hill and over the house. All work was completed and a satisfactory clean up was accomplished by 4 PM that day.
All in all, a very professional job at a very fair price.

All calls were answered/returned promptly. Estimate was scheduled and received as promised. Work was begun as scheduled. Care was taken to existing lawn and protection was used so as not to damage landscaping and structures. Equipment was is great condition, clean and well maintained. Workers were very skilled, conscientious and polite. Limb jobber did a phenomenal job scaling/cutting upper portions of the trees. Very skilled with chainsaws and equipment. Crane operator and grounds crew were equally as competent. Clean up was very well done. No truck damage to driveway or property. Lawn was raked. Debris was removed. Minimal sawdust, wood chips remained after the job was completed. Overall an OUTSTANDING experience with Martin Seaton and his crew. At the end of the job, the workers personally came to the house to thank us for giving them the work. A CLASS ACT in it's entirety. Well done. Would HIGHLY recommend and gladly use again.

They are very professional, and pay particular attention to safety.  They left the yard spotless.  I will use them again, and will recommend them.
