Customers say: True professional

"We recently hired Moretti Driveway Paving and Patios to replace our driveway and install a brand-new patio — and the results are outstanding! From start to finish, the team was professional, organized, and extremely skilled. As you can see from the before and after photos, the transformation is incredible. What was once a patchy, uneven yard is now a beautiful modern patio, and our driveway looks brand new. The workmanship and attention to detail were top-notch, and they made sure everything was completed on time and exactly as promised. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-quality paving and patio company, I highly recommend Moretti Driveway Paving and Patios. They exceeded our expectations in every way!"

"I was very happy with the process. Alex listened to what I was looking for, and made suggestions about details I hadn't considered. The patio was done in less time that anticipated and I couldn't be happier with the results. Entire crew was professional and left the work site neat every day."

"Antonio can not be any more different than the average contractor that many of us fret having to deal with. We immediately felt a strong sense of trust with Antonio. He worked with us in providing suggestions to keep the cost of our project very affordable. He takes incredible pride in the quality of his work and the satisfaction of his customer, without relying on high-end pricing to achieve either. The more we dealt with him, the more we got to know what a genuinely great person he is. It made us completely comfortable working with him, and we even joined him and his workers for several morning coffee and lunch breaks. (Our 3-year old daughter even connected with him and often asked to go outside to see Antonio and asked us if he would be coming back the next day). Hands down, Antonio is one of the most kind, gentle, and trusting individuals you will come across, and especially in the world of contracting services. Antonio built us a new flagstone patio, at least twice the size of our fieldstone patio. We could not be happier with the finished project but there are a few points to highlight. Originally, we desired a 16 x 30 rectangular patio and after advising Antonio of our plans to use the patio, he felt that we might want to do 17 or 18 x 30. While my wife had also felt that way from the start, I was very stubborn in giving up a little more of our backyard depth. Antonio noted that if we changed our minds, he could add on to the depth if we so chose. Sure enough, after endless second-guessing and then seeing the majority of the 16 x 30 patio laid out, we decided to have Antonio build it 17 x 34 . The additional dimensions were seamless and despite it being a late change, the patio shows no signs of an add on A couple of final points about the quality: the subtle multicolored stones are exquisite and perfectly draw in the sand color of our siding just as we had hoped they would. Finally, and possibly the most impressive part, is the circular corner section that we will dedicate to our fit pit area. We were extremely nervous about how that would come out especially when learning they would be cutting the circular perimeter BY HAND. They blew our expectations away with the entire project, but the circular firepit section especially highlights the excellent craftsmanship of the work for Antonio. I have already recommended Antonio to friends and family, including a brother who is a quality-obsessed contractor."

"I had a stone, slate and concrete entryway staircase of 3 or 4 steps that was in disrepair and that looked to have been built somewhat amateurishly and unevenly by a prior homeowner.
I received several estimates from other masons who determined that this existing stairway would need to be entirely torn out and a brand new stone staircase built at a cost of $2,500 to $3,000.
Luis from L & Z Masonry figured out a clever way to retain most of the existing concrete structure, install new bluestone treads, and raise/rebuild a portion of the existing slate walkway to make the whole stairway even and to meet code.  The results were outstanding and saved me a significant amount over what had been quoted by his competitors.  This stairway will probably stand for the next 100 years.
It takes considerable skill and experience to come up with a creative solution the way Luis did.
I recommend him without reservation and hope to use him again to rebuild a stone patio in the future.

Patios questions, answered by experts

The least expensive way to enclose a porch is with screens. These protect the room by preventing insects from entering and, if you live in a warm climate, provide excellent airflow during hot summer months. Screens cost far less than any other alternative, so if you are against getting permits, spending too much, or enclosing your porch in walls or glass, screens are the best choice.

Building a sunroom can take anywhere from two weeks to six months. An average-sized sunroom typically takes between two and eight weeks to complete, but more elaborate or larger projects can take longer. The final timeline depends on factors such as the sunroom's size, features, structural requirements, type, and whether it's a retrofit or a new build from scratch.

Creating a screen room is one of the most cost-effective ways to enclose a patio so you can still use it in the winter. Most screen rooms aren’t insulated, so you’ll need to wrap up warm or use patio heaters in winter. Also, be aware they might not hold up well if you live in a location where heavy snow is common.

You can start your search for a reputable patio company by finding providers in your area with positive ratings online and few, if any, complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Once you narrow down your search, contact the companies and ask for examples of their past work, as well as a list of references. The examples will show you the quality of the work you can expect and how professional the finished product will be, and contacting previous customers will give you an idea of the service you can expect throughout the process.

Yes, you can build a sunroom addition to your home despite living in a cold climate. Make sure to use high-quality insulation and windows and to supplement with sufficient heating from your HVAC system. The windows in the sunroom allow enough natural light into the room to help heat it most times without having to use the furnace. Even a small electric fireplace can heat the sunroom well enough.
