"I felt the need to write this review, although technically Greg and I have never done business. In the recent round of rain storms, my sump pump stopped working as it is supposed to, and I ended up with about 5 inches of groundwater in the basement. I was able to get the sump pump working again, but 3 days after it stopped raining, I was still getting a lot of water in the pit. I found a sticker for Contractors Waterfproofing, and figured they might of installed the system for the old owners, so I gave them a call. From the moment he picked up Greg was service oriented and responsive. He asked for my address to look up the job, and when he couldn't find it, he called back within 5 minutes to ask what was going on. I explained the problem, and he immediately told me that was normal for my part of town, and told me I just needed to replace the pump and I would be fine. He offered me a price that was half what his competitors charge, and was willing to explain the whole job in detail."

"Sometimes you just get lucky. We got super lucky when we hired D. Rohde to fix our A/C. Our technician Mike A. showed up with a helper/trainee, explained the estimate fees and then went to work. In less than 10 minutes he was able to identify the defective part, return to the truck for a new replacement part, and then install the new item. In under 30 minutes our main central A/C was back up and running. The second (upstairs) central air unit took another 10 minutes to diagnose and then about 40 minutes of grueling work in a super-hot attic to drain out the overflow tray, cut, blow-out the drain line, and repair the drain. Once drained, the unit is again working perfectly. It is great when a technician shows up and really is an expert. Mike A. is such an expert and also extremely friendly. Brandon, the assistant/trainee was also great and someday will make a great technician using all the knowledge learned from Mike's expert tutelage. I will recommend these guys to everyone I meet."

"Marc recently installed a driveway drain at my residence because of driveway settling and water pooling in the vicinity of the garage door entrance. I was hesitant as our driveway is fairly new and I worried the aesthetics might suffer and the pavement could become compromised. Marc patiently explained the process and quickly followed with a reasonable estimate. I did however, wait to submit my review until after the first heavy rainfall and I am pleased to report the drain worked perfectly even under recent, severe/storm conditions! The job was completed in one day as promised and I was especially pleased with the clean-up and attention to detail. Marc and his sons worked tirelessly, professionally and I would highly recommend them for any similar projects."

We called Joe and explained our situation. He came the same day to assess the situation and gave us reasonable estimate. "Tim was a true professional from beginning to end on this job. We had an 1870s rear foundation wall with a water problem that everyone else kept telling us to spray foam and forget about. Tim was the only one who we felt really had an understanding of how to permanently fix our water issue. Out of all the contractors we have worked with on our Victorian house restoration, we found Tim from Diggs Building Technologies to be the most knowledgeable in his field. He is an old school iron worker with an intense understanding of structure. In addition, he is not scared of hard work and to do things the right way. From the start, he was not scared off from the difficulties our foundation project presented -- poor excavating access over a 9 foot retaining wall, no driveway for brining in or removing fill. Nor did he back down when we discovered an old cistern trapping water near the foundation, an unexpected and unwelcome surprise. With Tim's expertise, the project kept rolling. All of Tim's team members are extremely professional, kind, polite and hardworking. If structural knowledge and attention to finer details (he even cleaned our my gutters after he found them to be running slowly after a rain storm) are what you are after, then hire Tim immediately. "This is my second review of work performed by Rock 'n Gardens. Our first project—a large walkway/patio/entry installation--was so successful that we contracted for a short matching walkway to the front door with the leftover stone. The design challenge in this second project was to artfully tie the new work into three massive existing stone slabs so that the walkway would complement the scale of the existing slabs while not overwhelming the front of the house. Once again, we are delighted with the finished job. As with our first experience, professionalism, communication, and timeliness throughout this project were top notch. In fact, with a cold snap predicted, the Rock 'n Gardens crew, on their own initiative, arranged to finish the installation on a Saturday before the bad weather hit. That's above and beyond in my book. When we are ready for more stonework, we will definitely be calling Rock 'n Gardens."
