- Pro Chek Home Inspection SvcBUYER BEWARE Terminated and Reported for Unethical Business Practices, Consumer Fraud, Breach of Contract (3 Counts), Negligence, Extortion of Services, and Verbal Abuse by 3 Associates. Aqua Guys subcontracted Complete Chimney who, on Week 5 of the installation, committed Consumer Fraud by attempting to extort services. The Owner, Mike, said, "If you want this done correctly, you will have to pay twice as much, otherwise I'm going to have to rig it." Aqua Guys then subcontracted Pro Chek Home Services of Danbury (see their reviews on Facebook) who committed Consumer Fraud by attempting to gaslight and intimidate us, then the Manager, John, verbally attacked us over the telephone on a recorded line. The City Inspector required a Third Party Inspector who failed the work of Aqua Guys, Complete Chimney, and Pro Chek for not installing the hardware to manufacturers specifications creating a fire hazard. The Third Party Inspector strongly recommended to discontinue use of the installation until it can be completed to safety and inspection standards. Aqua Guys, Complete Chimney, and Pro Chek deliberately put our family and our home in danger for profit, then they tried to cover it up. On the Better Business Bureau site, Pro Chek claimed they came to our house as "a favor" and at "no charge". Pro Chek claimed we were not clients of theirs. However, we have the appointment confirmation and the $350 charge screen-grabbed. All three vendors have been reported to their governing agencies, and we are pursuing legal action against each to the fullest extent of the law. Thereafter they lost interest in repairing/replacing the light. Appointments were made and canceled at the last minute because of other work considered more important than mine. Provided no satisfactory explanation of how the light would be replaced after the pool was refilled, simply refused to answer questions and essentially walked off the job after liner replacement payment was made. Salesman informed me the light could be replaced without draining the pool, but no followup. I was left with an impression of unwillingness, incompetence, or both

Although the product installed was nice, there were issues during installation and they never returned to fix as promised. We heard similar stories from others. Wouldnt recommend

He looked at everything inside the house, outside the house, around the property with an eagle eye and pointed out everything that could be a problem then or down the road. Frank kept us from buying a house that looked good on the outside but had all sorts of expensive problems underneath the pretty veneer. Walking with him was an education. (ps.. if your agent tries to chat you up while the inspection is happening... shut her down and follow him. You'll learn a lot about that home)

Again, he showed us everything we needed to see and gave us good information about some problems that our home had. This enabled us to negotiate with the seller and get some concessions in order to pay for the things that needed repair.
