"We had the O'Brian Family in to clean the house 3 or 4 times before we realized that a special gold pendent and a heavy gold bracelet were missing; the day they disappeared, Ed's mother-in-law Mary was alone in the house for the 20 minutes when I went to gas up. When I returned, I was surprised that she had left, as there was still cleaning to be done. The next day we discovered the missing gold. The pendant was very special, a Byzantine gold coin from the reign of Justinian the Great, minted about 530 AD in Constantinople. I had a jeweler make a bevel and loop for it, and both of us loved it. As it was not large, I doubt the thief got much more than weight for it, that was the real crime, which I explained in great detail to Edward. If Mary is still "working", beware."

"I hired Sanctified to deep clean my recently purchased 2 bed, 2 bath, 950 sqft home in Kingston. The charge for this service was $200. I wasn’t around so I requested that the cleaner call me if they have any questions. When I walked in after this supposed deep clean, the house looked exactly like I’d left it. The shower stall was dirty, the sofa wasn’t even straightened up, the 8 clean dishes I left in my drying rack weren’t put away, the beds hadn’t been touched and windows were dirty. Essentially, I paid $200 to get one bathroom cleaned, the floors vacuumed and kitchen counters & fridge wiped down. I’ve hired cleaners before and this was by far the worst service I’ve ever received. I sent them an email with photos and stated my disappointment. The man who cleaned (I believe his name is Rick), called me and left a defensive, kinda aggressive voicemail begrudgingly agreeing to return to clean the shower only, claiming that he “didn’t know” he had to tidy the sofa and change the bed sheets, and that windows were an extra charge on top of the “deep cleaning” charge. My main issue is with their response when I informed them I was dissatisfied. It’s fine to disappoint customers with a service but when they inform you, do what you can to make it right — don’t leave defensive voicemails."
