"Anthony and his team stopped by to give me an estimate on removing a 6" flex pipe that had been installed in the chimney pipe to vent a wood stove. They climbed the roof, inspected the chimney and determined the flex pipe did not run the length of the two story chimney but was about 6-8' in length. They removed it and also took care of its disposal. And the cost was absurdly reasonable - dinner for two would have cost more. Can’t say enough good things about World Class Maintenance Inc. - these guys are the best!"

"The owner of the company, Vinny, has excellent customer service, very professional work, and many years of experience and knowledge. He was very thorough with inspecting and evaluating the problems that needed to be fixed with my chimney. Everything was explained to me and all of my questions were answered. We knew we needed a huge repair on our old chimney, including repointing, a cap, flashing, several broken bricks needed to be replaced due to the age of my house, and a lifetime guaranteed stainless steel liner. Vinny gave an excellent and fair price for the work that was done. I feel relieved to know that my chimney and fireplace have been inspected, cleaned-top to bottom, and repaired for this upcoming fall/winter season ( especially since we use oil ). My family and I feel safe to know our chimney was in the hands of a professional, and do not need to worry about a fire starting ( god forbid). My family and I will be using all county Chimney for our annual- top to bottom cleanings. I Highly recommend them."

Customers say: Terrific value

"Iâ m so glad we hired Paulie and his crew. My 130 year old four story chimney had never been cleaned and was falling apart. Paulie cleaned and repaired the chimney and put in a new flu and did an excellent job while explaining all that he was doing. And for a reasonable price. And heâ s a nice guy."

"The whole experience from beginning to end was pleasant, including them having to come back because they did not have the proper chimney liner on hand. They set up chimney caps on my main chimney and wood burning stove, as well as a new chimney liner in the main chimney. This was a new home I purchased and the previous owners did not have these set up. ADV NY was responsive, courteous, and able to put my mind at ease with their great work. Would definitely recommend."

Chimney Liner Installation questions, answered by experts

Swimming pool liners are typically made out of vinyl, or you can commonly find PVC pool liners. These two liner materials are low-maintenance, making them easy to care for. Vinyl pool liners are common for residential swimming pools, while PVC liners are popular for commercial swimming pools. Both options are highly customizable to fit various sizes and shapes of pools.

Both above ground and inground pools can have pool liners. Inground pools made of gunite don’t need pool liners, and you’ve probably walked along an unlined pool and felt the ripples and ridges on the floors and walls. But adding a liner over gunite or other pool types helps protect the wall panels from algae growth.

You don’t need to drain the whole pool to patch a pool liner, but be prepared to dive in with your swimsuit and goggles to patch a leak below the water level. By draining the pool, you can actually expose the liner to more harsh conditions, like wind and sunlight, that cause the tears to worsen. It’s best to use the ink test and waterproof patches or tape to identify the leak and patch it up.

Pool repair costs come in all shapes and sizes, just like pools. Understanding the potential costs involved in repairing a pool can help you prepare your budget appropriately. Some of the most common pool repairs include:

  • Draining, refilling, and fixing leaks: $520–$4,060

  • Repairing the filter pump motor: $50–$300

  • Repairing the skimmer: $50–$300

  • Pump replacement: $700–$1,300

  • Drain repair: $400–$700

  • Beam crack repair: $75 per linear foot

  • Heater repair: $160–$730

It’s a good idea to call in a pro to fill in your pool, because there are many potential hazards to doing it yourself. Unless you’re careful, you can damage your septic tank, plumbing pipes, and sprinkler lines. It’s also possible to damage your sewer connections, utility lines, driveway, landscaping, and sidewalk.
