"I called All Pro this morning to see if someone could come by to look at a potential mold situation (we had a leak in our wall) and give us an estimate on cleaning it / remediation. Not only were they able to schedule someone to come the same day, but when Tom showed up he was punctual, professional and honest. He took a look at the situation and was candid about options to take care of it.  He never pushed any services on us, and in fact we are going to "clean up" ourselves. I wouldn't hesitate to call and use this company again."

"Kevin was excellent. We made an appointment and he was there on time. He explained everything clearly and gave me a fair price. His estimate on completing the job was on point. I would highly recommend him. If I ever need asbestos removal or know someone who does, he would be the first person to call."

Customers say: True professional

"Upon calling the Leinster Contractor Inc., Mr. Hogan came promptly to look over the job. He explained what was involved and quoted a price that was quite reasonable. One the day the work began, Mr. Hogan and his crew arrived promptly. His crew was courteous and professional. They worked diligently and fully removed the asbestos tiles. The area was cleaned and the floor sealed. The job was completed sooner than I expected and the job turned out better than I had hoped. I cannot thank them enough for a job well done. I would highly recommend them."

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

If you have the appropriate dehumidifier for the volume in your home then no, they shouldn’t be left on all day. Dehumidifiers have a motor that operates a compressor. In some ways, this is similar to a car and like a car, a dehumidifier needs periods of rest. Ideally, you would run a dehumidifier less than 45 minutes per hour with a break for 15 minutes. Still, this is the upper limit of what you should do.

Mold is very likely if you do not take action to fully dry your home within around 24 to 48 hours after water damage occurs. This can happen even faster in warm, dark locations with extensive water damage. In areas of the home that receive ample sunlight and only have slight moisture issues, it can take weeks for mold to appear.

White mold is generally considered less harmful than black mold, which can be more toxic due to the mycotoxins it produces. However, white mold can still be harmful, particularly for individuals with mold allergies, asthma, or other respiratory conditions. Exposure can cause symptoms like nasal stuffiness, throat irritation, coughing, or skin irritation, and it can exacerbate existing health issues. Because any type of mold can pose health risks, all mold infestations should be treated seriously. Prompt remediation is necessary, and you should take proper precautions, such as wearing protective gear and using appropriate cleaning agents, when dealing with it.

Yes, exposure to fiberglass insulation can cause harm to your skin and eyes. However, this typically refers to the fiberglass insulation that is mostly used in walls and attics. Fiberglass doors don’t pose risks for fiberglass exposure because they're fully encased in polymer cladding.

The answer depends on the size of your home, the type of mold, and your ventilation systems. However, the best answer would be no, you shouldn’t stay in your home. Arrange to be away from your home during the mold remediation process, as mold is often most dangerous when it’s being removed due to the particles being released into the air. Some contractors won’t proceed with the remediation if you or other household members are in the home.
