We were thrilled with their ideas and the quality of their work. Johnnie and Chris found ways to include our children in the decisions and they also received the stamp of approval from our cats! They care about the work they do and when they discovered extra issues that were outside the contract but were really needed, they just went ahead and fixed them for us. They were able to understand how we imagined our new space and guided us toward realistic and cost effective options . There were things we had never thought of, but were exactly what we needed. They are down to earth, relaxed professionals who we thoroughly enjoyed having around while they worked. We hope to have them come back again to remodel our bathroom.

Johnnie removed the mold and restored the ceiling. His work is impeccable. I was consistently informed about what work was going on and how it should be done. The crew holds themselves to very high standards. My home was always left clean at the end of a work day. I felt very comfortable leaving them if I had to run out. Their pricing was very fair. My dog even loves them!

No one wants to find mold in their home (or in our case, the home we were buying), but everyone wants to find good, reliable, knowledgeable people to help them, and Johnnie definitely fits the bill. We were referred to Johnnie and got him on-site the very next day he was very accommodating. He spent a ton of time not only carefully working in the house, but gave generously of his time to explain things to us thoroughly. He was very honest, gave us his unfiltered assessment based on his expertise (which we appreciated), and we can not recommend him enough. If you are looking for someone who is personable, reliable, reasonably priced, and really good at their job, hire him, you will not be disappointed.

We hired Johnnie and Chris to remove vermiculate insulation from our attic and replace it with asbestos-free insulation. From start to finish of the project, these two gentlemen were knowledgeable courteous and competent. It was a pleasure to deal with them and they exhibited good humor throughout the entire experience. Their price was reasonable and they completed the project well within the time frame estimate they provided. I would not hesitate to highly recommend these extraordinary professionals.

Johnnie and Chris were great. Communication was great through the process. They removed mold from the attic, basement and closets. Installed bathroom fans,fixed the ventilation in the attic and installed a dehumidifier in the basement. They were such a pleasure to work with.

Johnnie and Chris are the men for the job. Plain and simple. They are knowledge, professional and honest. I needed my floor removed in the basement, the walls taken down to studs, a dehumidifier installed and a crawl space clean out/ vapor barrier installed. The estimate they gave was beyond fair and they started work within a few days. From the time they started until the projects were complete the work area was neat and clean. They even vacuum the area when they are coming the next day to work again! I had ideas on where to spend my money and Johnnie truly lead me in the right direction. His quote was spend your money where you need to, and where it makes a difference. This solidified how honest and down to earth he and his workers are. If your looking for overall handymen who cover multiple states and can tackle multiple jobs, look no further! Thank you Johnnie and Chris!

Johnnie did an excellent job removing all the mold from the ceilings in my house for sale. He arrived same day for the estimate, professionally evaluated the problem and preferred solutions to eliminate the mold. Once hired for the job, he arrived exactly as scheduled and went above and beyond to alleviate the mold. His price was fair and reasonable and the job was done professionally and thoroughly. He also made suggestions as to how to prevent the mold from returning. Would definitely recommend this gentleman.

"Irwin, I am NOT surprised by your review since my verbal recommendation to you during my visual inspection was to open up bathroom ceiling BELOW the kitchen where there was obvious evidence of water leaking. You informed me at that time that you KNEW there was a leak and that you DID NOT want me to open the ceiling due to costs. Therefore, due to the odor permeating from that bathroom ceiling through the kitchen base cabinet, I had to remediate from the "top down" (not typical procedure in correcting situation - but I can only do what the customer allows) Needless to say, this limited me in my normal scope of work. But again, you were concerned about cost. Not solving the initial problem. As a reminder Irwin, this project, from beginning to end, was approved by you and Barbara every step of the way. Finally, you did contact me about a few weeks later after a rain storm to inform me you have water coming through your siding into the ceiling below the kitchen. You stated if you needed me, you would get back to me and I never heard from you again. This project fee was $650 which consisted of removal of base cabinet shelf, removed all the rotted wood under this shelf, clean it out and remediate the mold and re-build the base shelf. I feel the value of the money for this project was extremely fair and reasonable and you obviously did as well since you accepted the proposal."

Johnnie and Chris were great!!! They took their time making sure the job was done right. They removed all of the mold from my bathroom ceiling and painted. Talked me through the process and gave me tips how to prevent mold from coming back. It looks better now then the day I moved in. They went above an beyond what I paid them to take care of. They touched up (painted) my bathroom door and cleaned my shower doors and vacuumed up dust from my lights. Even checked my ceiling fan. They found it was not working correctly and recommended I have it replaced. I could not be happier and will be contacting them in the future for any home repairs I need (I now have them on speed dial). I strongly recommend contacting them if you need any work done in your home.

Johnny and his assistant Chris were professional, patient, and extremely efficient. I didn't bother to interview anyone else after meeting with Johnny. I was impressed with the attention to detail, and their reliability. Every task was completed on or before the estimate of completion, and the job was completed beyond my expectations. From the nightmare of the mold discovery in my basement storeroom, they were able to transform the site into a whole new pristine room. I highly recommend their service.

Very professional. Worked efficiently and were very attentive to details. Very knowledgeable and patiently answered all my concerns. I was so pleased with their work that I asked them to replace several rusty baseboard heater covers which they did. Again they were very fair in pricing and were dedicated to doing the work right the first time. They were very neat and made sure that I was satisfied with the work before they left. I hired Mid Hudson Home Renovation to perform mold remediation on a home I recently purchased. Johnnie was recommended to me by one of realtors I was working with and had done mold remediation on the realtorâs own home. Johnnie executed the mold remediation plan recommended in the mold inspection report including the installation of a SaniDry⢠XP Basement Dehumidifier. The work was done promptly and professionally and the mold smell is completely gone. He also offered advice to help keep the mold from returning. Johnnie is a pleasure to work with. He returns calls promptly and thoroughly explains the work.

It was a fair price. The quality of the service and the friendly service were definitely worth it. I would definitely use them again (even though I hope the mold won't come back). If the mold should come back within a year (or so) they said they would come back for free.

You then told me that the other 2 companies that came to inspect wanted to charge you $2k and up for the same exact work. So I believe my bid was more than just a "fair" price. AND, I attended to various other concerns you had AT NO EXTRA CHARGE, specifically I found the odor no one was able to address in the bunk bed's storage AND my bid included a warranty. Johnnie was the first to respond to my request on this website and immediately made an appointment to visit our home. He not only took care of the mold but also retiled 2 floors, repaired cedar siding, put up wainscot in the laundry room and a new shelf along with various other requests. His and his staff are extremely personable and looked to please the customer at a very reasonable cost. "No job is to small" to quote Johnnie. We would not hesitate to hire again and highly recommend them for any job.

I was going to interview 3 certified companies to compare prices for mold removal but as soon as I met with Johnnie I knew right away he was the one. He's very personable and has A long time expertise in the business. I could tell he loves his job and to top it off, he's a perfectionist AND doesn't take advantage of people with overpriced fees. I couldn't be any happier. Not only did he clean the area of mold but he cleaned the upper pipes and surrounding area and even the basement window. He even asked if he could start the job earlier which usually contractors are notorious for being late. Not Johnnie. I highly recommend his company. Thank you Home Advisor for referring him to me.
