"Had a backup a few days before and wanted to determine if it was a simple clog or cesspool related. They sent out a tech (Jimmy) the same day. He located both cesspools and walked me through my options. He was honest and patient, answering all my questions along the way."

"We are in the middle of repairing our lawn which was destroyed by grubs and moles. Max has been treating and seeding it. It is looking better each day. He hasn't finished, but I have no doubt that it will be wonderful when he's done."

"Rob and Christine run one of the most professional businesses i've ever had the pleasure of working with. Overall responsiveness was outstanding, and the performance of the company is something to be admired. Rob came by my home and diagnosed my issue right away. it was something as simple as pulling some of the wires out of the sump which caused the float switch to stop working. Not only did Rob solve my issue right away, he explained to me in detail how the sump pump works, and the precautionary measures to take in order to avoid any other problems in the future. I would recommend this company to anyone in the area who is in need of pristine quality work from good hearted professionals. Thank you both very much for making my Wife and I feel better about our home, we're so happy to have someone to count on in the future."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

Your garbage disposal is not draining because it might have a clog due to food waste, a foreign object, grease, oil, fat, or it may have a broken motor. When water doesn't flush out of the disposal, that's a key sign that your disposal has a clog or needs repair.

In the majority of cases, homeowners insurance will not cover a main sewer line root clog. The reason is that most insurance companies consider tree root damage to sewer lines as common wear and tear, which is also preventable. However, you may be able to buy optional add-on coverage, such as "service line coverage" or "sewer line endorsements," that would protect against root damage to your sewer line.

Clogs in a sprinkler valve can be caused by various factors, including debris in the water supply, sediment buildup inside the valve, or damage to the diaphragm. Debris and sediment can accumulate over time, obstructing the valve's passages and impeding water flow. Damaged diaphragms may develop tears or holes, leading to blockages and affecting the valve's ability to open or close properly. Regular maintenance and cleaning can help prevent and address these issues, ensuring your sprinkler valve operates smoothly.

The best drain cleaners are biodegradable ones or a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. Strong, caustic chemicals may seem appealing with promises of unclogging your drain quickly, but liquid drain cleaners can cause damage to your pipes over time. Consider making your own drain cleaner with baking soda and vinegar.

As with many appliances, proper maintenance is key to maximizing your garbage disposal’s life span. If everyone in your household is on board with proper care and maintenance, like running water while operating the disposal, you should get plenty of years out of your unit. Avoid putting the wrong food items down the disposal, including pasta, rice, bread, and more.
