"Justin did a beautiful job. He was here on a Thursday for an estimate and did the job just two days later (not 2 months...)! I am very happy with the results. I would highly recommend Highland Tree Service for any outdoor tree needs."

"I had already hired Steve to take down the 50' maple in my front yard when I noticed it has shifted and that is was likely a large branch would hit my roof before he was scheduled to be there. I called him on a Saturday, he showed up at 5:00PM and trimmed enough of the tree to protect the house and finished the job the next couple of days, while trying to be quiet because I have a family member that works nights! Tree is down, price was excellent, he was courteous and a pleasure to work with. I will be calling him again for more work later next year."

"These are the guys you want to hire for your tree service. Justin and his crew are quick, efficient, respectful of the properties they're working on and go above and beyond - all while offering extremely reasonable pricing. There are a lot of options out there for tree service, but these guys are a tier above the rest because they take genuine pride in their work and aren't just trying to make a quick buck. Happy to say they'll be my go-to for tree/property service in the area."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Absolutely. These steps are significantly easier, too, especially when it comes to preserving the root ball and moving the palm tree. However, you will want to make sure the tree has plenty of fertilizer to establish itself and start growing. Supports may also be more important, as it can take extra time for a potted palm to spread out its roots. If you are transferring a palm to another pot, you’ll want to move up a size or two to a larger pot. Make sure the pot has excellent drainage to keep the palm from getting waterlogged.

Ensures complete removal and mitigates risks of underground root damage.

It can take anywhere from one month to a couple of years for tree roots to grow back in sewer lines. Tree roots can cause extreme havoc on your sewer lines, potentially cracking them and causing untreated wastewater to make its way into the groundwater. Have a landscaping pro remove trees and roots before installing your system, or call a pro to do it retroactively as soon as you can.

Most plum trees are pruned into a vase or open wine glass shape. They’ll have a shorter central leader (the trunk) that supports three to four main branches. Of course, this isn't always the case. If you have a European plum tree, you can grow it in a pyramid shape. Let the central leader extend the length of the tree and prune smaller branches to create the pyramid.

The felling notch you make before you make the final cut will determine which way the tree will fall. The cut will be in a wedge or triangle, and the tree will fall from the highest point of the triangle. You can use this, as well as the process described above, to estimate where a tree will fall.
