Mid-morning is one of the best times to cut the grass. By 10 a.m., the dew should have evaporated, and the lawn should be dry enough to cut. Cutting your grass at this time also allows your grass to recover before the heat sets in, making it more difficult and uncomfortable to mow.

For the best results, plan on mowing about mid-morning. Give the grass enough time to dry out from any leftover dew and then mow. This way, the grass has the rest of the day to recover in the sunlight. Otherwise, mow in the afternoon once the heat of the day has passed.
