He fogged them to make them sleepy and warped the nest in a plastic bag then took it away.

The work went great! My initial phone call was returned within a couple of hours and an appointment was made for Barry to come the following day. He came totally prepared with his equipment and knowledge, which he readily shared as I was interested in yellow jackets and what he would do. One nest was above the front door behind the bricks. The other nest was in the ground in the side yard. Within 45 minutes, give or take, he had done the work and done it well. Even though he was dressed for the job of dealing with angry yellow jackets, I still think he's brave to do this type of job. The nest above the front door was reached by a short ladder, and I could see from the window that he got the tip of his equipment behind the bricks and thoroughly sprayed. For the ground nest, he got down on his knees and sprayed with a quick-killing substance, and when he determined it was safe, broke open the ground and scooped out the nest, in pieces, and bagged to take it away. That was 48 hours ago and I haven't seen one yellow jacket since, though he told me I might because the workers out in the field, so to speak, would return but then be killed. The price below is including tax.

Called Home Town Pest yesterday morning and Barry (the owner) answered the phone,  which impressed me right from the start.
I told him I believed yellow jackets were building a nest outside and burrying into my foundation and that my husband was deathly allergic to bees.  Not only did he quote me an exact price, he found time to perform the service the very next day(today)!  Just on a side note, not only was his quote much less than the other company on Angie's with similar ratings, Barry has a two month guarantee compared to the other company only having a one month guarantee.
What I really appreciated, was that he called when he was on his way and was very clear when explaining the extermination process. He even provided paperwork on the various chemicals used and dangers to household pets.   I'm hoping to see a huge difference when I return home tonight and if not then, within the week.  
I would definitely call Barry again and suggest you do too!

A yellow jacket bee hive had taken root on the underside of my parents deck and they had carpenter bees in the deck railing.  I called most of the big "commercial" pest control companies and was told someone would have to come out and first do an assessment and then not sure when the appointment to remove the hive would be.  One company did quote  price, but it was extremely high.  The second company would not give me a price until they did the assessment.

I went to Angie's List found Barry Booke at Home Town Pest.  I called and the phone was answered by a real person, a very nice woman who quoted me a minimum and maximum price.  Within an hour of my call Barry was on -site to perform the service.  He was efficient, professional and very nice to work with.  I would definitely recommend this company and will call again in the future should the need arise.

Even located a 2nd nest in front garden and eliminated it for no extra fee.
Exceedingly professional, punctual and courteous.

He showed up on time and upon  surveying the situation got right to work.  It didn't take long and he was thorough.  The carpenter bees and hornets did not come back all season!

He came within 24 hours (the bees were not a threat; I had the impression he would have come faster if it was an emergency.)  He seemed very methodical in spraying, explaining to me everything he was doing.  He even came in the house and listened to the wall with a stethoscope to see if he heard more bees in the wall.  I had no bees again after about 2 hours, as he had predicted.
This service was great, an "A" by any measure.  However, what really impressed me was a call I made to him in November, when I heard scratching in a wall that I presumed to be mice.  He must have spent at least 15 minutes on the phone with me, patiently explaining all my options.  He surmised that I was unenthusiastic about poison, and he explained to me the limitations of traps.  I decided to do nothing at the moment, which he didn't challenge.  The scratching sounds disappeared after a few days, and have not recurred.  What an exception this professional is to all the companies that seem to charge a minimum of $100 to walk in my door.  I would use him again and give him my highest recommendation.

Barry provided an estimate over the phone when initially contacted, based on my description of the problem.  He had a minimum fee for the job.  He arrived punctually (actually, 10 minutes early!) and went right to work.  I thought there were two nests, but he removed three.  They were in a relatively hard-to-reach part of the attic.  Barry was very personable and knowledgeable about yellow jackets.  Even after the discount he initially gave us, he dropped the price because the bees were inactive or dead (low temperatures).  We didn't want to take any chances, given the risks.  We would use his services again in a heartbeat.

Was very happy with what Barry did.  He sprayed a nests in porch roof and eves.  He was very thorough and calmed my fears (they were coming in the house) by checking the house inside incl. attic, cellar, etc. I appreciated that.   When I called him because there were many around the house again, esp the eves... he came back the next day an did an application on 2 sides of the house.  That did it!
  I will call him next year for sure.

Set up appointment the next day,  came on time,  inspected the areas of the outside of the house - determined the point of entry exterminated the yellow jacets.
