"I had an emergency. Hot water faucet in stand up shower broke off and water was going everywhere. We shut off water and needed a replacement ASAP. I found John and Jason. They came same day to evaluate and returned the next day to complete the job. Very professional and fast. My weekend would have been a wreck without the services of J&J sewage and piping services. Will definitely use again. Not to mention the price that I couldn’t refuse. Thanks John and Jason"

"I had an excellent experience with KGC Mechanical Service, LLC. He not only diagnosed the issue with my old water heater quickly, but went above and beyond to make sure the new one was installed properly and timely. Almost a year later, when the heater started acting up again, he didn't hesitate to follow up he took the time to find and fix the root cause, and didn't stop until everything was running perfectly. Throughout the entire process, he remained professional, courteous, and positive. It's rare to find someone so dedicated to their work and their customers. Highly recommend!"

"I had a major plumbing issue in my House. The main waste pipe that connects my shower, toilet, sink and kitchen Broke. It was a 4 inch cast iron pipe that was about 14 feet long. It was accessible by a crawl space under my house. So, I started to call (several) local Plumbing companies. The plumbers who showed up, looked at everything. Then told me I had to rip up my kitchen and Livingroom floor to fix the pipe. (None of the Plumbers wanted to use the crawl space.) One local plumber wanted 200 dollars up front just to show up. Every Plumber gave me very expensive estimates for the work. When I accepted the work offer by one very well known company. The 2 men who showed up refused to do the work then left. It was almost 2 weeks and still no running water at my house. I went to the Home Advisor web site after hearing a radio commercial and searched for Plumbers who specialized in drainage issues. I called the first number that popped up. Joe from JSP Sewer & Drain Cleaning answered. I told him what was going on. He showed up that afternoon to take a look. Joe replaced the pipe the next day! No floors were ripped up. I have his number on speed dial on my cell phone and will recommend him to anyone who has a plumbing issue If you have Plumbing issue at your house! Leave nothing to chance. Call JSP Sewer & Drain Cleaning."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The cost to unclog a drain varies based on the location and severity of the clog. For simple clogs within your home, such as in a sink, toilet, or shower, hiring a plumber typically costs between $110 and $350, with an average of around $200. Snaking a toilet or sink usually costs between $110 and $275, while a bathtub or shower clog costs about $225.

For a more serious clog in the main sewer line, the cost is higher. Clearing a main line clog generally costs between $200 and $600, with an average of about $380. However, prices can range from as low as $100 for snaking a minor clog to over $1,600, particularly if advanced methods like video inspection and hydrojetting are needed for a large or hard-to-reach blockage. Some severe main line clogs can cost upwards of $1,000 to clear depending on factors like the cause of the clog, its distance from an accessible cleanout, and whether the pipe is located beneath an occupied space (e.g., in an apartment building). You may be able to save money on minor clogs by using a drain snake or bladder yourself.

Simple blockages can be cleared using household plungers or manual snakes, provided no severe plumbing issues exist.

Yes. Sewer cameras are invaluable tools that can help pros safely diagnose problems with your septic system. Without a camera to look into your system, septic issue diagnoses would be a combination of guessing and past experience. However, a camera can help confirm ideas that your pro may already have about what’s wrong.

There are several common signs that your main sewer line may be clogged. Key indicators include multiple fixtures in your home draining slowly, gurgling sounds coming from drains or toilets, and water backing up into showers, sinks, or toilets. You might also notice water backing up from the plumbing system's drain cleanout, water in your basement drain, or unexplained wet patches on your lawn. Foul odors, such as the smell of raw sewage or rotten eggs, are another common symptom. The most reliable way to confirm a main sewer line clog is to hire a professional plumber to perform a camera inspection.

There are a few things that can happen to your sewer system if you don’t fix it. These include rainwater entering it and causing rust and corrosion, dirt and debris leading to blockages, small animals getting stuck inside and clogging your sewer line or entering your home, and shortening the sewer system’s life span.

Without a cap, nothing prevents toxic and non-toxic gasses like methane and hydrogen sulfide from slowly escaping your sewer system and entering your home and the surrounding atmosphere, resulting in a foul sewer odor throughout your house.
