"While our basement came out good, there were several extra costs that our PM John came up with that we feel could have been included prior to the work beginning in the contract or in the extras section of the contract. Things like stair replacement, trying to get us to install 2 sump pumps + a second electric panel. Regarding the pumps, the plumber actually recommended against the 2 pumps as he was able to connect all of our window wells to a single pump, also eliminating the need for a second panel. They also installed low quality hi-hats as our lights continue to flicker and pretty much told us that it?s normal and nothing can be done. Lastly, the workers left our unfinished area a mess at the end of the project- leftover debris and our furnace a water heater were left covered in dust. If you don?t mind feeling price gauged and having your concerns not taken seriously, this is the company for you. "

Most marble floors last at least 25 years, and they can last forever with proper care and maintenance. As a natural stone product, they have the edge when it comes to lasting longer than synthetic or softer materials, but they can become damaged. Grit and dirt that get ground into the surface will wear away the layers of stone over time, so cleaning and routine maintenance are necessary. In particular, regular sweeping and annual polishing and sealing will keep them looking beautiful and prevent wear and damage.

Epoxy filler is the go-to method for repairing minor cracks in tile. This solution is ideal for hairline cracks and helps stave off further damage. With that in mind, it’s only temporary. Your crack will likely reappear, particularly if it’s on the larger side. In that case, you should probably just replace the cracked tile.

You can put new grout over old grout, but it’s not always the best choice. For example, if your existing grout is cracking due to an underlying issue, regrouting shower tiles on top of old grout is just covering up a bigger issue. 

If you’re sure there’s no issue other than cosmetic problems, you can put new grout over old grout. Just use the same type of grout to maximize adherence, and be sure to match the color for the best look.
