  I wish that I could provide Mario & crew a 6 star rating! My job was exterior house, garage and re-staining deck. My mother's house was exterior stain, paint shutters and trim. Everything was pressure washed, scraped, primed and coated twice. All was done with professionalism, attention to details, consideration of your wishes and care of your property. All are hard workers and courteous. There is no doubt that I will have them come again for the interior. I highly recommend, but book in advance...word is getting out how good they are so they book up fast! Reasonable price and worth every penny. EXTREMELY pleased with the resultsshow more

  I was once told by a master stair builder that if you want to evaluate a general contractors work, look in the dumpster at the job site for an excessive amount of used caulk tubes indicating that they are covering up mistakes. Recently we completed a very challenging project that required the excavation under our old seasonal home in conjunction with a significant 2-story addition. After interviewing three reputable and recommended contractors, we decided to work with Dave Nessel, owner of Unique Construction. Dave presented a clear concise estimate of the scope for the work proposed, the costs we should expect and a timeframe for completion; all proved to be very accurate. He and his team of true artisans obviously enjoyed their work. Laughter and music would usually overshadow the sound of the power tools that were working in synchrony. The exceptional fit and finish in a clean and neat environment were easily appreciated. Dave is truly a meticulous visionary. During the project, he was never shy about recommending esthetic modifications which deviated from the architects drawings. Whether these change orders originated from him or us, they were never with exorbitant fees, but were billed for time and materials used. The final result far exceeded our expectations.   Anton, the owner of European Craftsman and Remodeling, has done a lot of work for us over the past few years. He has painted and fixed the entire exterior of our home, repaired our roof, built a beautiful front patio with stonework, and also re-finished our cedar outdoor deck. This man is an absolute top-rate craftsman of the highest order. Every single job that he has done for us has been done with great care, detail, and amazing quality. All of this done with complete trust, no price increases unless there is an impending issue that comes up, and extreme reliability. We have other work that we need done, and there is absolutely nobody else that I will ever call in the Hudson Valley - Anton is our man! We have had nightmare issues in the past finding good carpenters and contractors - they are usually not reliable, do garbage or incorrect work, overcharge, etc so when we found Anton, we were amazed and are now thrilled. If you need something taken care of in your home or want to upgrade some appearance, painting, stonework, repair, decks, I give my highest recommendation to call Anton.   Great! Anton and his crew are skilled and professional. Anton provided a detailed estimate before starting work and along the way as we added additional tasks, so there were no surprises. His prices are reasonable especially given the quality of the work. He was able to schedule our tasks quickly, which we especially appreciated since we had just recently moved in. Anton was present for the entire project and he and his crew are all very courteous, easy to have around and trustworthy. They cleaned up thoroughly after the job each day. Best of all, Anton and the crew are very good at what they do, and they all take pride in their work to please themselves as well as the customer.
