"Sergio and team did a great job on our kitchen floor tile installation. From making recommendations on tile selection to meet our needs, to leveling our subfloor, to cleanup, they were professional and courteous. They provided excellent quality. We are happy to give them our highest reference."

"After having my existing floors refinished very poorly by another company, I knew I would not be using them to sand and stain brand new unfinished hardwood that I had installed in the rest of my house. I had called Sal based on a recommendation from a contractor. He came to my house the same day and gave me a very reasonable estimate shortly after he left. He was very responsive and easily reachable for any questions I had before and during the work. His crew was neat, effective and did a beautiful job on my new floors. My only regret is not calling Sal sooner and hiring him for the first job. I would highly recommend him and his company and I plan on using them to redo the terrible job that was done on my other floors."

"There was no project too big or small that Nathan didn’t do for me. I hired Nathan when I first moved to Ossining in October and over the last three months he has been incredibly helpful to me. Jobs included installing a vanity; hanging mirrors, pictures, curtain rods, lighting fixtures; resealing kitchen countertops; bolting bookcases to the walls; but the biggest job was installing new recessed lights and relocating my chandelier as well as replacing my kitchen lights. Like I said, there was no job Nathan wasn’t willing to help me with. Being an older widow, I could not have asked for a kinder, more helpful or more professional contractor/handyman. He was respectful, thorough in completing each job, was very reliable and his pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend Nathan King for all your handyman needs."

"Joe and his team did an amazing job. He installed my kitchen glass backsplash, bathroom accent wall and fireplace. Joe is excellent at what he does and takes the time to explain things very clearly and carefully to his clients.  He values customers satisfaction and ensure you are happy with his work. I was impressed and very pleased with his work. I highly recommend him. I will certainly continue to hire him for any future jobs.   If you’re looking for phenomenal work look no further ! Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Options include clay, concrete, and slate tiles. Each offers unique durability, aesthetics, and costs.

No, tiling over painted walls or wallpapered surfaces is generally not recommended. Textured surfaces and paints will affect the adhesive, possibly causing tiles to lift or fall off. Painted walls with a semi-gloss or high-gloss finish are particularly difficult for adding tiles. It’s wise to strip the paint first if you install the tiles to drywall, although it’s still best to opt for a cement backer board.

Generally speaking, it is better to cut tile wet when using a fast-moving wet saw to reduce dust and chipping. However, tile can be cut dry when using just about any cutting tool. Dry cutting will result in a bigger mess and may increase the risk of chipping or cracking, but if you’re just making small cuts, dry cutting is a safe and viable option. Cutting dry also means you can apply tile grout sooner, so it’s better for rushed projects.

Glazed ceramic tiles don’t need to be sealed because the glazing already offers some protection against moisture. Unglazed ceramic tiles need to be sealed to keep the porous tile safe from moisture and staining. However, both types of tile can benefit from sealing. Sealant can make the tiles easier to keep clean and offer more resistance to water, spills, and stains.

Yes, it’s possible to cut tile without a wet saw; instead, you can use an angle grinder, a glass cutter, a snap cutter, tile nippers, or a rotary tool with a tile-cutting blade. A manual tile cutter or snap cutter works well for the larger tiles that wet saws are typically used for, while smaller projects might just require nippers or a glass cutting wheel. If you’re working with large quantities of tile, however, power tools are best.
