"I recently purchased a home, and after almost 2 years, I discovered there was a hidden mold problem causing me health problems.  Healthy Spaces was one of three companies I called to help locate and treat the problem as soon as possible.  Of the three companies, Healthy Spaces gave me the most intuitive and comprehensive plan of attack and Mark was amazingly thorough and walked me through his plan so that I completely understood the problem and proposed treatment.  I am so glad I went with his company.  They fit me into their busy schedule, came on time and worked without stopping for a whole day.  He and his assistant were personable, knowledgeable, efficient and tidy.  The mold they found when removing two walls of new paneling was disgusting but they had it removed quickly and applied several treatments to that area and also to my laundry and even the ceilings and sump pump areas.  Additionally, Mark made a suggestion about controlling the condensation issue which probably saved me another $5,000 or more.  I am a very happy customer and would highly recommend Healthy Spaces.

"Salesperson did a complete walk-around of the outside of the house and perimeter of the basement. He identified that the majority of my water problems were from my gutters. He then explained the process they would use to repair the wall leak and another wall crack in the basement wall. I did get my gutters repaired and have not had water problems since. The basement wall repair was completed in one day adn I am very happy with the results."

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"I had a small but complicated, hard to access, and structurally essential repair job on a 60-year-old concrete deck attached to my 280-year-old Pennsylvania limestone farmhouse. I contacted several masons listed for my area on Home Advisor, and included Mr. Grady as a long shot -- I read about his expertise with historical structures and wished I had access to such an expert craftsman, but I didn't think he'd be interested in my teeny job and assumed I wouldn't be able to afford him anyway. He was the first one to return my call and to look at the job, and I thought his price was fair. I believe now it was way more than fair, considering the time he spent. He did extensive research, going over a structural engineer's report I had done previously on the deck and even examining the original architectural drawings and materials invoices from 1959. He showed up at least three times to complete the repair in stages, and has been back a half a dozen times since then to check the job -- and my location is not exactly in his neighborhood. He accepted only enough payment in advance to pay for lodging for himself and his assistant when they stayed nearby one night in order to be there early the next morning. He gave and continues to give free advice about preserving my stone house and patio. If you prod him a little, he might even share some of his personal philosophy, earned over a lifetime of work that is clearly more of an art form than a job to him. Overall, I'd say you can hire one of many competent contractors and get an adequate job, or you can hire Mr. Grady and get superior work by someone who cares about your property as much as you do."

"Doug and his team did an excellent job on my kitchen! My kitchen was very old and hadn't been remodeled in a very long time. Doug and his team took out all the old paneling (including the plaster behind it), and installed drywall, new flooring, new countertops, and new sink. He even took the time to install baseboards, window and door trim that matched the rest of the house. All for a very low price! Would definitely call him for other projects."

"So - So! The overall project was just okay but not fantastic. We went with DeRisio even though he was more expensive because he seemed to know what he was talking about. At the end of the project, the brick work on the front of the building still has mortar stains although they claim they acid washed it several times. They replaced a brick door sill with a something they bent out of aluminum trim material. After repeated requests to fix it, they offered to put in a slate sill. I said that would be okay. Well, over one year later, it still isn't done. They replaced an exterior door that hasn't latched properly from the day it was installed. Great guys - but lousy workmanship. I wouldn't have them back."
