"The sump-pump that we installed was brand new and working properly. The power for the sump-pump (that we were direct to use) was faulty, and we pointed it out to the homeowner (it keep tripping the breaker) we did instruct them to call a qualified electrician. This was the cause of the failure. We did return twice to there home upon there request, it still had not been looked at by an electrician. We think it was due to being on the same circuit as another appliance that would cause it to blow when in use."
"In response to Mr.Nott's review our statement is as follow's: Yes we were called by Mr. [Member Name Removed] for an estimate on his home. At the conclusion of our estimate we provided Mr.Nott with all the necessary information for his project along with cost. "He agreed" to the information provided and ask "when could we do the work and what was the next step" we discussed a date to preform the work, scheduled a date to perform the work at "his" request and secured the job with a small deposit. Of-course we are always happy to earn our customers business but by NO means are we a quick sale company. As we always do, we called the customer the day before to confirm the time for our arrival and planed on doing the project accordingly. Mr. [Member Name Removed] may have well had tried to contact us via email, we did not receive his correspondence as we were at one point switching email provides and website company's. For this I do apologize. We are not sure of the company whom he had hired nor can we state if they were a certified company or just a handyman type. We would like to state that we did not preform any work for Mr.Nott and we were happy to refund him. As always, we value and respect our costumes, if you or anyone has any questions please call me directly 585-755-6332. Mark Frillici Owner"
Went very well overall. I'm very satisfied. Mike, the owner, was always 10 or 15 minutes late, but that's minor in the grand scheme of things. The materials they removed from my basement walls were mine to dispose of, which was a surprise. But, the contract did say "removal", not "disposal" - so that's my fault.
They obviously know what they're doing, they do what they say, and there were no hidden costs. The quote was exactly what I paid.
I'd use them again, and I'd recommend them to my friends and family.
In the Basement, Bob explained that over years the probable cause was that the drainage pipes put in when the house were built were possibly crushed/caving and / or filled with silt. After walking the basement he isolated the areas that seemed to be most impacted. We discussed a few "potential" areas that he explained were impacted, but not as much, so I could, if I wanted risk not doing them. Given the efficiencies of doing such a job at one sitting, I elected to fix everything that needed fixing. He explained everything in such a way that I understood the problem/remedy. He provided me a quote that day for all the work and offered me time to make the decision. I elected to contract for the work that day.
They were able to schedule the work to begin approximately 3 weeks later (earlier than expected). It was estimated the job would take 3-4 days; it took 3. The team showed up on time (or a little early) each day and began work immediately. Everyone was kind and courteous. Most impressive (to me) was how clean they left the environment. They went to great lengths to contain the dust/particles from going throughout the house. They vacuumed each night before leaving and actually left the basement cleaner than when they came in.
The work done looks incredible. I'm now not dreading the next monsoon.
