"Our bathroom sink was clogged. I took apart the drain pipes under the sink but the clog was deeper in the pipes in the wall. Found Maco on Angie's list and they came that afternoon. Very Prompt. They fixed the problem and reassembled the pipes I had taken apart. Very professional and quality work. If you are looking for fast, quality service I would recommend them."

"Barbara graciously took a look at the leak when she came by to give us an estimate for a whole house water filter install. We called her back a week later to fix the leak. Barbara showed up on time and was up front about how she planned to fix the problem, any additional costs should the planned approach didn't work, and other alternatives. She was able to fix the leak in 30 mins and we no longer have to worry about water behind the walls."

"We couldnâ t be happier with the job that Austin did spraying foam to insulate our basementâ s rim joists (where the top of the foundation meets the wood framing). He measured the rate of air exchange before and after, and it was reduced from more than 10 times an hour to 5.6 times, a significant reduction that will result in future energy savings. Weâ re just sorry we didnâ t do this sooner. Zavza Sealâ s pricing was competitive with that of two others. Austin also identified and measured another source of wasted energy that we may address in the future."

"Chris is very responsive to the needs of the customer. After speaking with him on the phone about a problem with my clogged drain, he was at my house in less than 24 hours and quickly resolved the drain issue. Excellent business man."

"From the appearance the job looked good, but there was a wet sink and a half bathroom that has not been used for many years and they removed all of the piping to those fixtures without my permission. There was also a fuel oil leak that I had to fix."

"I used these guys for a remodeling job which included bathroom renovation, some minor electrical work, knocking down and installing new dry wall and painting. Class acts! We all hear horror stories about contractors not calling you back or not showing up on time or showing up at all. Not these guys! Hector, Moises and their crew really did exactly what they said they were going to do. Friendly, responsive and oh yea, solid work! Professional through and through! Highly recommend them and would use them again!"

"Im am so happy with the work that was done on my house. Tyler came and gave a very fair estimate on lifting my concrete side entrance stairs to my basement. He explained every step of the process and did exactly what we wanted with no issues. Everything was done to perfection. No damage was done and you cant even tell the stairs ever needed a repair in the first place. I would highly recommend this company and would hire again for any future jobs."

"We had two projects 1) remove & replace existing parking lot with 6" cement and wire 6"x6"x10 mesh and 2) repair roof valley, cap and seal top of north wall, repoint & waterproofing entire north wall. First the company was extremely responsive to all our concerns including those of our neighboring properties. They did everything they were contracted to do with excellent results. They kept us fully informed on their progress. We were impressed with the thoroughness of their work. Clearly we highly recommend them."

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Signs include persistent dampness, mold or mildew presence, musty odors, and visible water stains. If any of these occur, it is advisable to contact a professional for an inspection.

Basements with persistent moisture problems or flooding shouldn’t be finished until the moisture issues have been fixed. In addition, if your foundation is cracked, you have unmitigated radon levels, or you have asbestos or lead pipes, remediate the underlying problem before finishing your basement. Turning a basement into living space before fixing these issues can lead to serious health risks or structural damage.

Installation typically takes 1-2 days, depending on the scope and site preparation.

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to drain wastewater and solid waste into the municipal sewer system or a septic tank. For fixtures below this level, like those in a basement, gravity cannot move the waste upward. The ejector pump provides the force needed to pump the sewage up to the main line. Without one, wastewater from below-ground fixtures would back up, potentially causing a sewage overflow and flooding. If all of your plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity is sufficient and an ejector pump is not needed.

Ideally, your sump pump discharge should run down a natural downhill slope 10 to 20 feet away from your home’s foundation. However, if your property is naturally flat, that might not be an option. Instead, you may be able to discharge it into a neighborhood storm drain or a nearby creek or pond. If that’s not possible, consider burying it underground.
