Nilton assured us he could complete everything in one day and have the study back together. My husband was skeptical.
1.  Nilton brought a second painter. They moved the furniture, protected everything, repaired the large cracks in the ceiling and walls, painted the ceiling with his paint, did 2 coats on the walls with our paint. He had minimal questions and they only took a 10 minute break because I insisted.
2. They came early as we agreed and were out of the house with everything finished, cleaned up (brought his own small vacuum), and furniture back in place by 2 PM (before my husband came home from class). The project gave us opportunity to edit what went back on the floor to ceiling bookcases!
3. Before he left, I asked Nilton to prepare an estimate for me for painting the living room and dining room. He has sent it. It is reasonable, and as soon as we can afford it, we will call him to come back.

"Great. That half of the house had not been painted for 30 years. Peter Smith Company painted walls, ceilings, and interiors of the closets. The crew repaired all the walls meticulously before painting. They moved all the furniture out of the way and put it back when the job was done. The job took about 1 and 1/2 weeks. The painters were always on time, worked an entire day from 7:00am to 5:30pm. They cleaned up after themselves every evening before leaving....vacuuming, folding up the tarps, etc. I highly recommend them. Peter Smith is very responsive; always answered my emails promptly. His crew were all friendly, polite and competent at their jobs. I used this company about 5 years ago for an exterior painting job as well, and had the same great experience. "We contacted Mr. Luiz Velozo of  LAV Contracting Company for an estimate. Mr. Velozo promptly provided an estimate and a date for the job to be done. Mr. Velozo and his assistant did an excellent job corking the bathrooms and installing replacement kitchen cabinets in our basement. Though the installation of the replacement kitchen cabinets were challenging, Mr. Velozo addressed the  problem. He purchased additional materials to  properly install the kitchen cabinets. We did not like the color of the corking in one bathroom.  Mr. Velozo offered to remove the corking and apply a different color. He removed the corking and applied a different color without a charge. We were extremely pleased with the work performed. Mr. Velozo was respecful, pleasant and skillful in performing his work.  Mr. Velozo arrived early and worked diligently to complete the work.  Mr. Velozo offers outstanding craftmanship with reasonable prices.
