Some of our rooms use very dark colors, and we have a good amount of complex moldings, so we needed (and got!) a very skilled painter. We chose to use Farrow & Ball paint, and between that and the summer humidity, it took a couple of weeks longer than planned. He was great about communicating with us about the finish date when it became apparent that there would be a delay, and was happy to schedule around other work we had planned on the house. Matt and his team were precise and careful with our floors and belongings. He is also professional and just plain nice. Would definitely use him again!"

I am now a believer In Angie’s List…..cause I found a painter for life! THANK YOU ANGIE and all past reviewers who helped me make the right decision! Such a pleasure to meet a contractor that actually shows up and ALWAYS shows up on time! Has a fantastic work ethic, never a break, except lunch hour (was there from 8 or 9 -5 or later everyday) – doesn’t book 2-3 jobs at once, so doesn’t leave early to go finish other jobs, AND is even more detail oriented than I am (and I’m tough to beat!) Kevin and his partner painted and did wallpaper removal on a one bedroom apartment for us. Apartment hadn’t been painted in many many years…. and with apartment steam heat and windows closed all the time (elderly occupant), walls had major cracking and chipping of old paint. The amount of plastering to be done was huge. Due to the shape of walls, I didn’t hold out much hope of the walls looking decent even after paint and plastering, but Shamrock was able to get it done. In addition, there was old wallpaper upon wallpaper to remove and again they did it, and did it beautifully. The whole apartment has smooth walls / window sills and looks brand new! You would never have known it was as bad as it was! A few days after job was done, I did notice one area on a pipe that was off in color (probably painted once, instead of twice like rest of pipe (really minor and easily missed due to lighting). Although he had left us the left-over paint, I called Kevin to ask if he could come back to do that part of pipe again. He apologized and without hesitation said he’d gladly come back. Told him I’d get back to him with date he can return, but before I could make the appointment, illness struck and weeks turned into 2 months later…. And then… HE CALLED ME… to remind me that he wants to come back to do the pipe! I thought I was dreaming! He remembered that small non-issue item??? NOW, come on….what contractor does that.... and... 2 months later??!! This is your proof of attention to detail and how they want you to be happy with the job!!! To Kevin the job wasn't complete until the pipe was re-done. I’ve worked with many, many, many contractors and this has NEVER happened, nor can I imagine any one of them even thinking about a job 5 minutes after its done! All contractors should have Kevin's business sense and work ethic. Bottom line: They are hard working, no-nonsense, honest, nice guys, focused on your job, extremely detail oriented, will make sure you are happy with the results. Started & completed the job on time. I am a happy camper that highly recommends Shamrock!"

"We hired Abdul, of RRS Builders, to take over a stalled deck construction and installation project from a previous contractor who had disappeared with our money. We had a hard time finding someone to take over the partially-started, messy job, requiring many corrections. We found RRS through the subcontractor who had fabricated the frame of the deck, and had also been robbed by the first contractor. Before signing a contract, we thoroughly researched RRS and Abdul through a private investigator, who found no problems. Abdul corrected all of the first contractor's mistakes and built us a beautiful deck in just a couple weeks. His crew was reliable, meticulous, and respectful and his pricing was reasonable. DOB immediately approved the deck on our land marked building without any issues. We would love to work with Abdul again and will go to RRS immediately with any future jobs."
