"I can't say enough good things about Julie and Juan. They exceeded our expectations and did some extra work that they felt would make the job better at no extra charge. The job involved: leveling a barn floor, removal of poorly poured concrete at one end, high psi concrete pour/level/finishing and shoring up and parging the existing foundation. Their proposal was thorough, the price was right. They showed up on time and completed the work on time--despite a couple of hiccups with the concrete supplier. "We were in need of repair for some cracking in three rooms of our home. We had difficulty finding a reliable contractor to complete the work in a timely and affordable manner. When we contacted Key Painting, Bill was quick to return our inquiry and come look at our projects. Bill proposed a couple different solutions to repairing the cracks in the ceilings and preventing further damage. Once we agreed upon a plan of repair, Bill had us sign a contract and scheduled the work to be completed the next week. Bill's crew was actually able to start a couple days early, and two workers tackled our interior repairs. Both men, Mr. Suhr and Antonio, were professional and skilled. Mr. Suhr was very knowledgeable. He was able to repair and match the texture on all our ceilings flawlessly. We were very impressed with Mr. Suhr's skills and genuine desire to do a quality job. Each day, Bill would contact us to answer any questions and give us an idea of what to expect next. It took about two days to repair the ceilings in our dining room, living room and bedroom. In our dining room, the textured ceiling was also sanded down and re-painted to blend in the repairs. Our living room needed a seam repair that Mr. Suhr did efficiently and blended the wall and ceiling paint together. The bedroom had a 5+ft crack that you can no longer see as Mr. Suhr flawlessly blended the repairs with the sand-in-paint designs that were preexisting. Overall, we are extremely impressed with the skill and professionalism of Mr. Suhr, Antonio and Bill with Key Painting. The crew was courteous, clean and knowledgeable. All our questions were answered. Bill and his crew also stand by their work, so we have confidence that should we need any further repairs, they would be back to correct the problem."

"So - So! The overall project was just okay but not fantastic. We went with DeRisio even though he was more expensive because he seemed to know what he was talking about. At the end of the project, the brick work on the front of the building still has mortar stains although they claim they acid washed it several times. They replaced a brick door sill with a something they bent out of aluminum trim material. After repeated requests to fix it, they offered to put in a slate sill. I said that would be okay. Well, over one year later, it still isn't done. They replaced an exterior door that hasn't latched properly from the day it was installed. Great guys - but lousy workmanship. I wouldn't have them back."

"He did a beautiful job. He stopped one day and gave me some references. We went and looked at his work and thought he did a good job. He was a good worker. I think he is kind of a gypsy mason guy. He'll do anything but he doesn't have an actual stone and mortar business, I think he just works out of his house. He has also done our 3 bay garage floor for us. My experience has been very good. He is responsive and he does exactly what he tells you he is going to do. When he is finished it is exactly how he describes it. Sometimes, in construction, especially when you are dealing with concrete, these guys get a little sloppy, a little messy. He ended up producing exactly what he described. Both my wife and I talked to him about it because it's a driveway, it's the entry to your house and you don't want some piece of junk when they get through. I've seen some pretty poor concrete work over the years. So far, it is also very stable, it hasn't broken up or cracked. He put the stress cracks in the right place. He's very good at what he does. He is a little bit slow getting back to you from when he quotes. When he's on the job he's fast, so I don't want to give him a rating that looks bad. When you are trying to get him to do the job, he is kind of slow in that area. He will tell you a date and something will happen and he'll call you. But when he is here, when he is committed he is very fast and he is very responsive."
