"Juan was great! His workers are excellent! Prices were fair, they showed up on time, were neat and clean. Our house looks great and it was a difficult project as our center hall has 30 foot ceilings. They painted the family room, living room, dining room, kitchen and center hall. I would certainly recommend them to anyone considering painting their home."

"Brian and his team did an amazing job at my house. They are extremely professional and they really go out of their way to make the customer happy. From the estimate, to the first day of work and throughout the entire project, Brian and his team were top notch. You can tell right away that Brian really cares about the job and his his customers. The whole team was very clean throughout the project. They showed up on time everyday. They were all very polite and their work is outstanding. My wife and I feel like we just got a new house when all the work was finished. I am definitely hiring Brian and his team again in the near future."

"Called All Good Painting for an estimate to re finish our approximately 25 year old wood deck . They came as planned for estimate which was a fair price for work we needed done and we hired them for this job . They came exactly the day and time they promised to start power washing . Their workers were courteous and professional from the minute they arrived . The next day a crew came as promised right on time to sand deck . The 3 rd day they were there again at 8 AM to replace a few planks ,paint deck and finish the job . There was not a single speck of paint that got anywhere except on deck and the clean up was exceptional . Sometimes you come across a reputable business that shows up when they say and do a great job . This was our experience with All Good Painting . Our deck looks beautiful and I would highly recommend them to ANYONE."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Your tool of choice ultimately comes down to personal preference. Many DIYers prefer applying stain with a lint-free rag, but others stick with a paint brush or a roller. Wipe the stain and work it into the wood, working with and against the grain. If you’re applying multiple coats, allow the stain to dry for around four hours between coats.

For the longest-lasting exterior paint, consider acrylic or enamel (oil-based) paints. Acrylic paints, including acrylic latex and acrylic enamel, are known for withstanding harsh weather and sun exposure. Enamel-based paints are also one of the most durable options available. While latex paint is common, it typically has a shorter lifespan than acrylic or oil-based options. The paint's finish also affects its durability; a higher gloss finish is generally more durable. For resistance to moisture and cracking, matte and satin finishes can be effective, while a high-gloss acrylic or oil-based paint offers a combination of maximum longevity and durability.

Staining pressure-treated wood is a recommended practice. While inherently resilient, it's not impervious to moisture and UV exposure. Staining treated wood is feasible and recommended for enhanced protection and longevity. Applying stain and sealant safeguards against degradation, prolonging its life span. These measures shield the wood from environmental threats while augmenting its aesthetic appeal, ensuring your investment endures the test of time.

Adding a second coat of stain to wood can even out the color to some extent, but it won't drastically alter the hue if the initial application is too light or too dark. It's more effective at enhancing the richness of the color rather than significantly changing it. Ensure the first coat is dry before applying the second.

Limewash and whitewash do not harm surfaces if you apply them correctly. Use on non-suitable surfaces can cause issues. For instance, applying limewash or whitewash to surfaces with existing sealants or incompatible materials may lead to poor adhesion or flaking. Also, harsh cleaning agents on limewashed or whitewashed surfaces can damage the finish. Proper preparation, application, and maintenance ensure that limewash and whitewash do not harm surfaces.
