It’s best to start with a mild solution to avoid damaging the surface, especially if it is an antique piece. If you need to use a stronger mixture, try a commercial cleaner or mineral spirits. If your wood furniture is sticky after already cleaning it, it’s likely from using too many polishes or waxes. To remove mold from fabric that’s part of your wood furniture, the best option is to take the fabric off and place it in the washing machine. If you cannot take the fabric off, it helps to move the furniture out into the sun. Use a high-quality vacuum to remove any mold spores that are present. You can try spraying the mold with a 50/50 vinegar-water mixture. Hydrogen peroxide is also a possibility for removing mold from fabric, but it could damage certain types of fabric.

You should lightly clean your leather couch biweekly by dusting off any surface dust or debris with a clean rag. Every month do a deeper clean with a vacuum to remove crumbs or dust from between cushions. You should only condition your couch about once a year to avoid any solution buildup.

Baking soda is highly absorbent and soaks up odors, so it will not only draw the urine out of your mattress but it can also get to work fighting the lingering smell.
