"I had an excellent experience with Castlton Environmental Contractors, LLC. From start to finish, they made the process smooth and stress-free. Bill and Jennifer handled all the permits and paperwork, which saved me a lot of time and hassle. The work was completed in a timely, efficient, and professional manner, and the crew left everything clean when they were done. I truly appreciate their clear communication and attention to detail?highly recommend!"

"I was selling my house in NY and had an underground oil tank that needed to be abandoned properly prior to closing. I hired Optima Environmental to perform the job. The sales rep came out that day and walked down and discussed with me what needed to be done. I was in the process of moving when she came back and I signed the paperwork. I was then informed that a CO had never been obtained for the new oil tank which had been installed 3 years earlier. Working with the Optima Representative (Shelley) and the town, I was able to get the permit's needed and following the job (which was performed in one day, while I had already moved to my new residence in LA) and the inspection by the town I was able to get the CO's required for my closing. All the people I met and dealt with from Optima Environmental were very professional, helpful and courteous. The final project turned out great!!"

"Excellent service! Called promptly. Arrived at time specified with crew. Pulled old pump and replaced pressure tank by early afternoon. From first contact to completion of project was less than 24 hours. When you have no water time is important. I’d recommend them."

"The experience working with Pedro and his team was excellent from start to finish. Our project was to â wrapâ our new hybrid pool (partial above, partial in ground, set into a hill) with a stone look concrete product and build a concrete paver patio around the pool. I was designing the project myself (not a designer, just a weekend warrior homeowner) and Pedro was great at providing design suggestions early on in the process, as early as the initial estimate in fact, which helped me refine my design because he understood the unique drainage needs of my property and the challenges and benefits of working with certain hard scape products (I didnâ t get this from other contractors that were bidding on the job). His estimate wasnâ t the lowest but certainly not the highest; I tend to discount the low end estimates because those contractors tend to have surprise charges after youâ ve past a point of no return. Once we were in contract the materials were ordered and delivered on time. We had challenging weather and a swampy yard and Pedro and team were very flexible with the start date and working days throughout, always keeping me up to speed on the plan and communicating with me so I was informed. The project execution was seamless, deliveries were orchestrated, progress was fast and when design questions arose Pedro was quick to seek my input so that we got the product that we truly wanted. When the work was complete, on time and on budget, we had a beautiful pool area that exceeded our expectations. To underscore Pedroâ s commitment to his work and his customers, he came back one week later to temporarily remove a handful of pavers because the pool guys needed to access the skimmer to fix an issue from when the pool was initially installed (didnâ t know about it until after) and then of course reinstalled them to their original state. I canâ t provide enough praise for the work that Pedro and his team performed. He will be our landscaping / hardscaping project go-to for all our future projects. Materials used: â ¢ Rosetta Belvedere (pool and main retaining wall) â ¢ Rosetta Kodah (retaining wall around perimeter of patio) â ¢ Unilock Beacon Hill (patio)"

"Very professional, and thorough. They did an amazing job of taking 75 to 100 foot tree off the top of my house. Then they cover the damage with tarps to prevent further damage from the rain. I would use them again and highly recommend them to friends."
Unfortunately, some plumbing scenarios, like a broken sewer pipe repair, will require excavation to complete the job. Plumbing excavation costs range from $30 to $70 per cubic foot. However, if you need additional trenching, expect to pay an extra $4 to $12 per linear foot. Keep in mind that these costs are on top of the plumbing repair costs, and they don’t account for labor costs. Consult your excavation specialist to determine an accurate estimate for your job.
The average cost for pool excavation is $2,500. This cost can range from $450 to $4,500, depending on the pool shape and size, time of year, and any need to move buried utilities.
When excavating for your pool, you might have to move existing utilities. You can expect to pay an additional $15 to $25 per linear foot to move gas lines. To move a septic system, it’ll cost an additional $2,000 to $20,000. A pool that is 10 feet by 12 feet averages $450 to excavate, and a 20-foot-by-40-foot pool averages $3,020.
The cost for residential excavation is $3,200 on average, ranging between $50 and $200 per cubic yard. Total costs could range from $500 to $15,000, depending on the project type, yard size, and soil type.
When a project needs an excavator, the contractor will subcontract one as part of the larger project. If you hire an excavation specialist, you can expect to pay between $40 and $180 per hour. When excavating, if you have soil with excessive rocks or clay deposits, expect an additional cost of $200 to $1,200.
Warm weather seasons like spring and summer are ideal times to excavate due to the ground being softer and easier to dig through. However, it is important to note that bad weather, like heavy blizzard conditions or torrential rainfall, can prolong the project length, increasing costs. That’s why it’s best to avoid excavating during winter or hurricane season, depending on your home’s location.
While completing an excavation project yourself is possible, we don’t recommend it. You’ll likely need to buy or rent the equipment necessary for the job. This equipment costs as $100 per hour or $2,200 weekly, increasing by as much as 50% for larger jobs.
In addition, completing an excavating job yourself poses a safety risk. If proper marking hasn't occurred, you risk hitting buried cables and other critical piping, like gas and water lines. Additionally, if working with excavation equipment, you’ll need to steer clear of any overhead wires. Leaving this project to an excavating professional is best.
