"This was the second time I hired zavza seal. This time I needed help with attic insulation for my parents house. Starting with setting up the free appointment, ending with the crew and quality of the work - they deliver a great experience and I highly recommend them for anything waterproofing, insulation, concrete and foundation fixes. "The type of work I needed done was literally beyond over 12 other companies I had to my home for an estimate. Some very popular companies (which are supposedly experts) at cleaning up the situation I had in my basement. The situation: Foam Insulation that was sprayed in all the Wellâ s / Between All Jointâ s through out the entire basement of a 3 Bd Rm Ranch. The Foam HAD to be removed due to Termites. All Exterminatorâ s stated the Termiteâ s could not be treat until the Foam was removed. To my complete surprise and obvious delight that they took the job was beyond wordâ s. Some very (as they stated) were the best â ¦ yet some actual stated; â Ummm -,I never seen this nor been ask to remove it.â One company wanted $250 for the first hour and $150 for each additional hour - with a quote of taking 3 dayâ s to complete the job. The estimate for the job never exceeded more than 1 day -,there was no surprise or statementâ s that it was an impossible job to do. They arrived on time - - took 2 / 10 minute breaks and completed everything within only several hours. I was absolutely amazed and thrilled. Professional and completely committed to finish the work. I absolutely recommend if your in need of anything foam insulation. Even removal. Iâ m extremely happy with the work and the professionalism. An absolutely top rated company and recommended if you need anything foam insulation related you to look no further. Thank you so very much for all the work you did! ."

"These guys are great! Manny showed up on time for his estimate, gave me a price on the spot, and talked things out with me to make sure that I understood exactly what he was including in the insulation project. He was able to meet my timeline, which was quick, and finish the project on time and as promised. He was very communicative throughout the process and pleasure to deal with. His crew was polite and worked hard. I am VERY satisfied with the crew and the workmanship."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Insulating an unheated garage can still be worth it. For instance, insulating an attached garage can help with heat loss from your house in general, and it can also make it easier to store electronics in your garage without worrying about them being exposed to extreme temperatures.

If you use your detached garage as a workspace, insulation can still make a difference. Plus, you can use space heaters and a window unit AC to help condition the space while you work without installing heating.

Yes. Bathroom insulation requires a vapor barrier. As a matter of fact, bathrooms and kitchens are the two areas of the home that should always get a vapor barrier because of the excess moisture. If you don’t have a vapor barrier in place in these rooms, the moisture will build up and eventually lead to mold and bacteria, not to mention the destruction of the insulation.

Bathroom wall insulation not only keeps the area temperate, but it also reduces instances of mold, mildew, and rot. Bathrooms, after all, are havens for moisture. With this in mind, it’s absolutely worth it to insulate bathroom walls since it saves money in the long run. You won’t have to hire a pricey mold remediation service down the line. Also, insulation decreases outdoor noise and lowers energy costs.

Opting for insulated ducts can lead to significant long-term savings on your energy bills and contribute to a more efficient HVAC system. The precise amount you can save depends on various factors, including your climate, usage patterns, and the insulation's quality. However, on average, insulated ducts can result in savings of up to 20% on your annual heating and cooling costs, according to ENERGY STAR®.

Insulation can be made of cellulose, fiberglass, polyurethane, polystyrene, or mineral wool. Radiant barriers are often made of aluminum or other similarly reflective materials, but they will need to be paired with something else because they don’t provide heating benefits. Cellulose is among the most eco-friendly options and may be recycled when it’s past its shelf-life, whereas polyurethane and polystyrene both emit harmful compounds and will need to be handled with care during installation.
