"It was fantastic. This crew work so hard all day long. Each crew member knew his job and they seemed like a finely tuned military unit. The work was completed in one day and the property looked as though they weren't even there. It has been two and a half years since this work was done and there hasn't been so much as a drop of water in our basement. "Job was completed in short order. Basement is completely, FRP paneling was installed and looks great throughout. My only complaint is that there was a ton of concrete dust left behind, both in the basement and tracked through the family room. I would still recommend them."

Finally, keeping your gutters clear of debris and positioning your downspouts away from the home’s foundation can prevent moisture from getting into the crawl space in the first place.

Rigid foam board insulation is one of the safest insulation materials for basement walls. The panels offer a moisture barrier to prevent mold and mildew build-up. At the same time, this material is also fire-resistant, so you don’t have to worry as much about a fire breaking out as you would with spray foam insulation. 

A walkout basement is considered to be partially below grade because at least one wall is entirely exposed. In some cases and in specific municipalities, inspectors and appraisers will still count walkout basements as below grade, which means the space can’t serve as living space or be rented out. If you intend on using the area as living space or a separate apartment, you should check with your local building department to make sure it’s legal to do so.
